New Feature - Rorie and Brad Play Through Psychonauts Together.

I still got to play it. Bought it on Steam a year ago and haven't touched it. Maybe the feature will get me to play it like Vinny's Dark Souls playthrough making me go back to Dark Souls.

And maybe when they're done (or during) as the Double Fine peeps are down the road and are cool with GB some of the folks could come over and talk about some of the development on it. Ala Alter Echo with Brad Muir and Ryan's face was made of glee.

Once Psychonauts gets going around 2-3 levels in it's really amazing stuff, would be great to see the GB crew experience that for the first time.

Hm, I dunno. I like Psychonauts, I've played though it three times (twice on PS2 and once on PC) but it's a little slow, and just not the type of game I personally would enjoy watching someone else play, at least not for the 15+ hours it would take to finish.

But if they need something to fill the void of Vinnyvania I could think of worse games to go with, and I'd probably watch it either way.

Can somebody tell me what I missed? I bought the game last year and gave it a shot, but was pretty underwhelmed. It just kind of seemed like yet another kind of charming, but totally unremarkable action platformer from the early 2000's. I didn't finish it, or ever get too far, does it pick up?

I've played Psychonauts like 4 times (twice on XBOX and twice on PC). That game is great.

Endurance run?, but if not this is still 100% up my alley because Psychonauts is amazing and I might get premium just to watch that.

Here's a better one. Rorie plays through neverwinter nights 2 + expansions. Watching Rorie play nwn2 on that supply drop stream was real interesting to me, made me wanna play some nwn2, and I did, but that game is fucking hard.

I tried to watch Game Informers Psychonaut Super Replay but that ended up as the most boring one of them all. It's best when it's a more weird or obscure game. I would love for GB to have another game they play through , but not this one.

This seems like something Brad at least should go back and play as it's the sort of game he would potentially enjoy (and also an absolute classic), I don't know if it's really Jeff's style of game necessarily.

Could be a good ongoing series with several parts with Tim Schafer sitting in on one if he had the time.

But Psychonauts has lots of collectables and has several puzzles. Watching Brad playing it would drive me in to fits of furious conniptions. D:

It's always interesting to me to hear people say this, because I got through the entire last level without dying or even taking a hit. The moments of frustration I remember are the matador level, and the castle level.

@the_nubster: both of those levels are from not understanding how to proceed at first though, right? Matador level has some tough platforming stuff though.

it's been a long while since I've played it, but I think a lot of my frustration from the Matador level was from the awful camera angles always landing me right back in front of the bull.
