New to Giantbomb, got a couple questions

So, I was reading the TOS for this site, and it doesnt seem as restrictive as others (wholl remain nameless).....Or maybe the TOS is just loose....do they still ding people for swearing, or off-topic?  Whats this site like?  Opinions?

You can swear if you find that you need to, it's not a big deal on giantbomb.com.

It's lenient with swearing and off-topic can get very off-topic. But it's policed very well by the mods, we don't have much trouble like we did at the start of this site's launch.

Giant Bomb is awesome, show respect and don't spam or be an arse and you'll be fine.

Also in my experience giantbomb has the best community of any game site.

Have you ever listened to the bomb cast? Listen to just one and you will realize that off topic is a way of life and we accept it well

In addition to the Terms & Conditions it would be worth your time reading the two guides linked in this topic as well.

We won't moderate someone for swearing unless the context in which they use said language violates or breaches one of or any of our rules and guidelines. So swearing at another user will likely gain you our attention, but dropping an f-bomb in regards to your dislike for a game probably wont.

It is all been mentioned pretty much, but basic rules of thumb: don't be a dick or troll. No one will like you that way. Otherwise, just be pleasant and come up with a few funny quips now and then and you are set!!

To get a real feel for the site, you should listen to any of the podcasts, here referred to as the BombCast.  Then you will definitely know what can be said and what kinds of things we talk about and the guys who made this site which I think is important to any Giantbomb user.  But welcome.
