If/when they do another one we will find out on that day. No point in speculating before hand. I personally hope they stick with the tradition of picking games of which I have never heard of before.
Pining for another Endurance Run is like going to clubs specifically to pick up; what you should be doing is going there to enjoy the music, the drinks, the atmosphere and the friends and if you happen to pick up, then that's a bonus.
Don't go looking for another ER and just enjoy what's here, so the time before it arrives doesn't seem like a protracted exercise in banging your blue balls against a wall. Or something.
The more people ask for an ER, the more childishly stubborn they become about doing one. So let's let them make up their own minds and then maybe coax them into it with our evil subtle reverse psychology.

Which they already do! I'm really happy with the content they are putting out right now, I'm way behind on quick looks. Let them do it if/when they want, not as something mandated by the community. From the sounds of it they are a real bitch to get put together and released on a daily basis. Maybe there won't be another one, who knows? I'd like one but posting asking for it is more likely to push them away from it, and if another one doesn't materialize? I'll still be okay, there are a monstrous number of great quick looks right now.

Pretty sure the point is to see if they care bare to finish the game live. Not to have a long game. I think it would be more fun if they actually got bored and stopped casting it. Maybe with something like Titan quest.
I get that they are a lot of work, but I used to come to the site 10 times as much when those things were posted daily. I already come about 15-20 times a day, so imagine the numbers (math was never my thing). What they should think about doing is an ER in the background here and there and then release them later. They could probably automate that if the files are all ready and edited and whatnot. Just record up until the final stretch and then do the final stretch in "real-time" so the finales are recorded mere days (or one day) before they're posted. What I'm thinking they did before is record a week or so before then try and edit everything together alongside their other content. My idea would mean long stretches between ERs, but I wouldn't mind. ERs don't have to discuss current events or anything like that anyway.

The topic of a third Endurance Run has come up multiple times, and one of the major problems is that the Endurance Run sucked up so much of the staff's time before. People might say they want a new Endurance Run, but think of all the quick looks, reviews, and other content they could create in the countless hours it takes them to do an Endurance Run, can you imagine the backlash if that kind of content went away? Maybe when there's a bit of a lull in games they might do another one but there's no forcing it. It's become very well-established at this point that some users want a new Endurance Run, if they have the time they'll do it, if they can devote their time to things which they think will better please their consumers, they'll do that.

This. The staff guys do whatever they feel like doing at the moment... They generally don't take requests. I like it better that way, because the GB staff has a much better sense of humor and creativity than the community.
Don't get me wrong, they want to entertain/inform us and whatnot, but they aren't gonna let us tell them how to entertain us. That's their decision, not ours.

But in reality, customer satisfaction is a major part of business. Giant Bomb/Whiskey Media is a business. Not pro or anti ER right now, don't get me wrong. I'd like one, sure. But I'm getting along just fine without it. "

I feel like they're a little schizo sometimes on that. On the one hand, yeah, this is totally their website and they can do whatever they want with it and people should respect that. On the other hand, they try to entice people to subscribe on the basis that with subscription money they can do much more for the fans of the site. (Current benefits are undeniably pretty meager, which is why I haven't subscribed yet.) You can't have both unless you're doing something completely nuts or you're just asking for straight-up donations. You have to please someone at some point if you want a consistently rising number of subscribers.
You couldn't wait untill at least 2011 to put up another one of these threads among all the other threads asking the exact same thing? God damnit, now I have to drink even more for that super awesome party.
I did not get into GB until the beginning of the past summer (oddly because I read on wikipedia that they were playing though all of Deadly Premonition) but I think I have been around enough to say that there will most likely not be one. IF a gun was put to my head, I would guess Catherine even though they said they wouldn't on the Bombcast. I mean, it would not be the 1st time someone said one thing and did another. But b/c they have so much more going on now than they did before, I think it has just reached a point where they know what they want GB to be and some things just have to be dropped to make time other places. So no more ER, no more TANG. But hey, you can always watch the old ones again.
Aren't the weekly Game Room quick looks enough, in a way they serve as the next endurance run. And, why don't you just watch Let's Plays if you want something like an Endurance Run? Most are extraordinarily shitty, but there are 2 groups of LPers that I'll regularly watch that are just as funny as the GB crew.
