Ocean Marketing guy is making threats about PAX

Whoa, I didn't see this coming. If you have forgotten about the Penny Arcade vs Ocean Marketing incident, here's the old thread.

Paul Christoforo is back, and lusting for vengeance, by the looks of things:

Christoforo has been tweeting some nonsensical things about Gabe not being man enough to say things to his face, and that he's planning on showing up to PAX. You can read the threats about the police not being able to stop him over here:

To be fair I don’t honestly expect to be killed by a psychopath anytime soon. But the tweets from Mr. Paul Christoforo have certainly been…interesting. I think that anytime someone says they are excited to meet you and that “the police will not stop me.” you should probably pay attention.

I'll be at PAX if it means I can throw tomatoes at the guy.

That twitter account is not run by the real Paul Christoforo....its just some troll trying to rile up the gaming community, people are gullible as fuck.

If so, ya he is out of his mind. I have a hard time believing it though, it's been a while and there was a ton of fake ones (twitter accounts and what not). I'm sure the internet will figure it out- I'll just keep reading about it cus either way it's kinda funny and insane. The two mix rather well.

@Unknown_Pleasures: I definitely remember him saying something like "I wouldn't have done it if I had known Mike Krahulik had a hand in the industry", but I don't remember any remorse.

He's probably disappointed that he can't get a job anywhere now, and he's taking solace in the pretend world he created where he's a pretty neat guy.

Unless he rushes the stage through a crowd of gamers and security during the opening/closing ceremony he's never going to be anywhere near them.

I can't prove that it's real, but if you look at the Twitter account itself, someone went through a lot of trouble of uploading pictures of Paul Christoforo, Paul Christoforo holding a newborn child, and other personal photos. Scroll through earlier tweets and you'll see that they're not all as confrontational as he is towards Penny Arcade. I gave up around tweets coming from early January. The composer of Super Meat Boy tweeted months ago that it was the real account.

If it's a troll account, someone's been at it for months. It's most likely real.

Oh snap. That account is real? I kind of secretly hope that this ends hilariously and tragically, although he'll probably just chicken out and not do anything. Pity.

He has already demonstrated that he operates outside of the scope any normal human would, married or not. Pretty sure that's not beneath him...the thing I cannot stop thinking about though is...what the hell is his wife like?

When this first hit I checked out some of his YouTube videos. One had his wife in it, cheering him on for training to be better at Modern Warfare or some weird thing. She had a vacant, dull grin and cheered him on in a monotone voice. Something like, "I believe in you. Do it for me and the baby." The woman looked like she had the life sucked out of her. So I don't think something as small as 'pretty little titties' is going to get him in trouble with the wifey.

Of course, she could have been that way because she was pregnant. I obviously can't know exactly what was going on there.

I'd love to see this guy sued by the PA guys. Attention whoring shit like this needs to be answered in their own terms.

He was doing marketing for a company that was releasing a 3rd party add-on for PS3 and 360 controllers.

A customer emailed him asking if they were going to make Christmas and he (Christoforo) was unhelpful at best. The email quickly improved to internet pissing contest with the customer making salient points and Christoforo sounding like an asshole. Once Christoforo invoked industry names including PAX, the customer emailed Gabe who then intervened. Stating you're not welcome at Pax, a quick exchange, then Gabe mini-dox'd him.

24 hours later Christoforo was ground into a fine paste. The company he worked for disavowed, admitted he was raw but enthusiastic and will no longer be working for them. Pretty much every other entity Christoforo was banging against his shield, slid him under a large car.

Christoforo begged Gabe to call off the dogs. That happened and, apparently, we're at part two.

Note this is the Cliff's Notes version. There was talk about knowing the mayor and being this and that.

So much for the whole "I was having a bad day" thing he was going with. Having a bad year? Can't PAX just stop the dude from coming in? I thought businesses can refuse the right to service anyone.

Now, I'm sure nothing will come out of this, but I really hope he isn't crazy enough to act upon his threats. We really don't need actual violence at a major game event.
