I both Persona 4 because of it. And Yes, I had the japanese version of Persona 2 imported (has hints on teen prostitution and hitler in it!!!) and finished it...so I kind of had an idea of what Persona was to begin with.

Even though Atlus USA clearly liked it (having links to the Endurance Run in their official emails and stuff), I don't think they would be behind something like this. They would be directly making money off of their product and there are so many legal problems that it would be nearly impossible.

but who has 100 hours free time? I mean 100 hours= 1 % of a year, 2010 has so many games anyway... rather play game then watch someone does it for 1% of a year.
@quezen: Everyone who watched all the episodes of the Endurance Run and enjoyed them have that time. If it's as entertaining as anything else, what's the problem? You would rather play a game, good for you. But others enjoyed watching that and preferred watching the daily ER instead of replacing that time with a game.
@Synthballs: It has essentially the same appeal as MST 3K. Without the commentary the Endurance Run would have been rubbish. The sort of meta-characterization that Jeff and Vinny gave everybody was great.

If it were for Childsplay or some other Charity I doubt they'd mind. If nothing else it looks good for them. It'd also make me feel less of a nerd for buying it (not that that would stop me anyway.)

This could also be a viable solution, but there would have to be a big partnership with Atlus because I doubt Giant Bomb has the money for all the shipments and the production of the blu-rays.
A business suit might think differently, but I think if anything the Endurance Run helped sales. As someone who typically doesn't play JRPGs, I wouldn't even know the name "Persona" if not for Giant Bomb. If they thought it might somehow hurt sales though, I could still see it happening a few years down the road where the game is just being bought used anyway.
Oddly enough, I'm more curious about the pricing and menu setup. They could do a lot of cool things like putting two or three memorable quotes in the episode descriptions (from Jeff/Vinny or the game itself) to make the episodes more distinguishable.
