I give this news 4 out of 5 puppies. One had to be eaten by Rorie because he's not with friggin' GB!
Rorie's back in the review/gameguide business again
Good to see he's got some work now.
Also, am I wrong or was the "Boss of Bosses" thing only one video on Gamespot that somehow stuck?
They should have a kickstarter:
Goal: Profession game guides section/editor added to Giantbomb
Make it $60,000 to fund
Any donation over $35 gets a GB annual membership
Add t-shirts/posters/etc, for other tiers
Maybe have an Australia PAX trip and/or the world tour as stretch goals.
I don't think he is a good fit with GB - never did. His interactions with Ryan creeped me out and while puppies can be cute, there's a limit to how hyper you can be about anything. Good to hear he is working again and I hope he gets a more permanent position somewhere, but I'm glad that isn't with GB.

Disagree, the guys have been a good team ever since the old Gamespot days. Also, he produced the best piece of editorial writing available on GB. Rorie boss of bosses.
Is it a ridicilous suggestion Matt himself didn't want to work at GB any more? You don't know what happened between GB and Rorie, why on earth should Jeff listen to random forum users about hiring him? Rorie is gone, get over it.

He never worked at giant bomb, and nothing happened between them. He's even been a guest in a quicklook about a month or so ago. YOU GET OVER IT
Man it's been awhile. Hope he gets full time work soon. I got laid off around the same time he did. I've got a new job that sucks ass so I'd probably be better off in his shoes. I'm desperately looking for something better. Good to see him doing something related to the industry tho. I'd check out his stuff if he got hired somewhere. Without him and Alex Screened has really turned into a sh*t show from the few visits I've given it (one most recently to check out the Cabin in the Woods review after I watched it because I recalled them not giving it a favorable opinion backed up with bad reasoning).

Jeff isn't opposed to the idea:
When people talk about Rorie getting fucked, I believe what they're referring to is nobody telling Rorie about the Whiskey buyout and split-up. From my understanding of the situation, he went into work that day with no idea that he wasn't going to be employed the next day.
Not telling him was a really shit move, IMO.
Happy to hear Rorie is working, even though its freelancing. Hope he finds a full job soon and ALL HAIL RORIE!

Yup, it's been an in-joke ever since.

That was just a joke on twitter.
Edit: He posted a picture of the empty office on twitter and said "Hey, where'd everybody go". It was very obviously a joke.
