So long story short, I'm pretty in love with these things, and currently have 4 in my collection.

(Metriod Prime Trilogy, Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 2, Mass Effect 2)

The Metroid one is definitely my favorite

What are your feelings on them? Also, if you like them, which ones are your favorites?

They are good, but the cover that goes over them always ends up damaged after a while, so it looks gay. Thankfully I will make sure it will NEVER happen to Mass Effect 2.

Yea they're cool. I've got FEAR2, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, Far Cry 2, Assassin's Creed and, hopefully today in the mail, Mass Effect 2 (all PC).

I don't know which was the first. But I have a Metal Gear Solid 2 metal case which is the oldest game with one in my collection that I can think of.

I love steelbook cases. I have Halo 2, Modern Warfare 2, Doom 3 (xbox), and Perfect Dark Zero. I almost bought the LE of Resident Evil 5 just to get a steelbook.

Yeah, I usually put the outside sleeve in a drawer and forget about it since it bugs me to have to slip it on and off every time I use the game.

They are usually from collector's editions of games (or in the metriod prime trilogy's case, standard)

I've got steel cases of STALKER with the expansion pack, Unreal Tournament 3, Crysis Collector's Edition and Assassin's Creed for PC. Great cases, not so great games. :(

I had the Gears of War 2 LE case, but one of my moron friends put it on a chair when swapping discs (I always keep my cases on the shelf), and then proceeded to forget that they had done so, and sat on it. I raged so hard.
