On it. Not the worst ever, though.
Porn spam outranks football spam.
It's not even football spam. It's American Football spam.
Real Football Spam.
I've never seen so much spam at once. This just made the need for anti-bot account protection staggeringly obvious.
I would love for someone to tell me where I can get old XFL games.@Sweep said:

Is that better or worse than Aussie Rules Football spam? Arena Football spam? XFL spam?
In what world would XFL spam be considered a bad thing?@Sweep said:

My favorite so far was "How do I watch Cowboys vs Bucs on my iPad?" or something like that, which was posted to the Halo 4 forums.
Although I'm very disappointed no one gave me those emergency powers. I had big plans for the forums...

Just flag the topics or send a PM to the mod team.
But as it stands right now this is a fairly tame spam attack. Not like back in 09 when the Porn Wars erupted....
I wasn't here. How bad was that? Also:

Has anyone looked at the account creation page recently? Is there any form of Captcha or anything? Cause these are clearly all bots. It's been so long since I made my account I can't remember if GB has any validation but shiiit they need to step it up.
Plus, as I've said for so long they should just ban new users from making threads so they couldn't mess up the front page like this. Just make it a post requirement or whatever. It doesn't even matter that much.

I flagged a bunch, but ran out.
These things come and go, I really wish instead of locking these threads they would just get deleted though. Same with all locked threads, just delete them.
They are deleting them, hence the ones with the blank "last post" which 404 when you click em.
I agree with the obnoxiously large text here, is there a particular reason why we can't have a 5-post limit on creating threads like we have a 5 post a day limit for new users?
@Guided_By_Tigers: Ahhhh! For whatever reason that didn't count as a reply to me, so I had no idea it would be there. Of course, part of my plan was that picture would be included anytime anyone posted anything.

Giant Bomb does indeed use a Captcha system. It's just that all you need is one person to fill that stuff in and then the account is free to follow its automated protocol.

@ZombiePie: I thought accounts can only post 5 times a day until they hit 25 posts? Why are some of these going over 5?
They timed it just right at around 11:50 pm. meaning they were able to get two days worth of posting. One for yesterday and one, technically, for today.

Woah. these guys know how to spam. I might enroll.

Their all fans of the xbox. Coincidence? Maybe.
I imagine it's because that's the default alignment.

Ah good to know. Yeah you just need a few people to do em. Hmm.
@believer258: Ahaha sorry about that, whenever I post that idea it gets ignored and it annoys me!
@Sweep: You can't not love Dave.

If we make it where you would need a certain post limit to make threads, then couldn't they just spam the already made threads anyways?
Of course, but then the front page wouldn't be filled with spam topic names and you'd have to dig through all the pages of a thread to see that spam. By being on the front page it's making the site look immediately poor to new users.

Hey, lets calm down, we are smarter than the characters in the Star Wars universe.....unless pyromagnestir spammed the forums to get absolute control!!! You monster!!!
Yes, I agree. We need a thread creation requirement - maybe 25 or 50 posts. Weeds out everything and you don't even need to insert captcha on the login system.

So... We don't have an anti-robot script for signing up new accounts? I can't even buy products without having to prove I'm human, but robots can get thread creation priviledges?
The truly exciting spam operations have humans creating accounts and then the accounts get turned over to robot scripts once they're past the CAPTCHA.

Guys, I got this hot tip on were we can watch the amazing football game between *insert country you have never heard of* and *insert country you have never heard of*. I can't wait to watch them!
I just came on on my break from work to see if there were any interesting threads to pop into and literally the entire front page was nothing but spam and those incredibly annoying locked/stickied threads THAT NEVER GO AWAY!
