Super Smash Brothers 4 Part 43: The World Ends With You
Edited By AgentJ
The Video Game culture has quite a number of icons, and while Nintendo has created quite a number of them, they certainly dont have a monopoly on awesome characters. as such, it is my distinct pleasure to create a list of third party presence in Super Smash Brothers unlike anything we have seen in the series prior. Every weekday I'll bring you a blog on the third party characters that deserve a place in Nintendos next Civil War. I am completely open to suggestions, and if you feel a deserving character has been left out, tell me why they should make it and I'll potentially make some changes.
Rules:
The World Ends With You
Synopsis: When Neku wakes up, he finds out he is laying in the middle of the Shibuya Crossing and that no one around him can see or hear him, and all he has with him is a strange red pin with a black skull. Turns out he's been entered into the Reapers game, a contest to see who gets to go back to their old life.
Notable Appearances: The World Ends With You
SSB4 Likelyhood: 1/10
Alternate Costumes:

How the hell could any of them be alternate costumes? Hell, Shiki isn't even the same gender as Neku. Rhyme could work because of the sweater, but Shiki....
Oh, and typo.

I guess you haven't noticed how i've managed the "alternate costumes" throughout the blog series. I've treated it more like how Zero Suit Samus is an "alternate costume" of Samus, as well as the Wario/Classic Wario version. Essentially alternate costumes are either actual different costumes or different characters that would play similarly. In the game, each of those characters (except for Rhyme, since she wasn't playable) had the same powers as eachother, but none of them were important enough to be their own character, and the story seemed to imply that they would have had the ability to use the pins had things worked out differently, so I see no reason not to use them as alts. How the hell could any of them be alternate costumes? Hell, Shiki isn't even the same gender as Neku. Rhyme ... [more]
