@Lemon: Have you guys got Resident Evil 2 lined up? Maybe it's a little superfluous now, but there's a sequence that occurs about 5 minutes in that scarred me for life! I won't ruin it. I can't.

@Red12b: Just head out to the yard for a fun game of Hand-Egg. The sequel to the wildly popular "Palm Cabbage" (later renamed "Shot Put").

And that dog scare was pretty awesome!

I wanna say that two different hallways initiate the dog sequence regardless of which one you enter first. I figured because the iconic sequence was a skinnier hallway with red drapes blown by the wind.

That portrait next to the clock was totally Cesare Borgia.

I know this game really well, and love the writing. 
It was a bit frustrating during the clock part, but, eh, don't worry about that kind of stuff. Do it at your own pace.

This is the best one yet. The dog scare had me laughing out loud and the voice acting, wow. I've never played the original RE so this is pretty entertaining. Keep it up!

This video series is awesome. Glad to see more intern content. Am I the only one who chuckles when Kessler says OH NO! With the amount of times he said it there might be a drinking game around it.

You were almost a Jiggle sandwich. That is all.

Played two versions on the PS1, the remake on GC, twice through on the DS and to top it off a quick run through with the Wii version.

I will still gladly go back and play this. There really is something wrong with me.

Say what you will about the first Resident Evil, but it was the first game that legitemately scared a lot of people. Especially that famous dogs jumping through the windows moment is one of my favorite videogame moments of all time. Remember I was only 8 or something when I played it, but I still fucking loved it.

Now this is a endurance run i can get behind, needs to be on main page asap

@Castiel: I think if this episode proves anything, it's that there are things about RE1 that TO THIS DAY are genuinely creepy; the bizarre, Hitchcockian camera angles, the total silence of the mansion, and even those damn dogs can still shock you if you're sitting in a dark room.

The gameplay doesn't hold up, but there are scary things in that game.

I laughed at the Will Smith movie Hancock, and I'll laugh now.

I wish I could have seen your faces when those dogs jumped out of those windows. I have played all resident evils and I have fallen from moments like those so many times. There is nothing more terrifying than trying to get to a door, pass a window and then have the Nemesis jump through with his Rocket Launcher!

Also great job with all of this content you guys have been doing lately, but seriously what the fuck does the GB crew do around there anymore?

Yes, someday you should play the REmake, cuz in my opinion, it's the scariest Resident Evil.

Nice job guys, this is a super cool series!  I remember watching a friend play this when we were kids and being kind of creeped out by it.  I think I would have thrown it out a window if I ever played it for myself. 

Also, when they came back into the clock room, the ticking just happened to be perfectly on time with my metronome I had going.  Oddly enough it was at 120 BPM.  Guess they were counting half seconds.

Best episode yet.  Keep this up, and I won't be opposed when you overthrow the current Whiskey crew!

I give my approval. So bad yet so good in a lot of places (the game that is) and I still think it does horror pretty well in some spots.

Funnier than some of the more recent main-page Giant Bomb content. Keep up the good work, you guys are becoming naturals at this.

Tank controls i never thought were that bad.  They are even in the first 2 onimusha games that I played just a month ago and I was fine and those games are action games. 
 Oh no things that make the game more difficult like limited ammo and saving. HOW HORRIBLY DESIGNED!

Resident Evil 1 Intern Endurance Run I say! I'd love to see that after their internships end, if Steve and Kessler could get together to record it.

Echoing a previous sentiment - these videos are my favorite part of the site now. I'm glad you guys aren't doing 1 episode for every single game, Resident Evil deserves more. Maybe take a look at the Gamecube version also, it has a whole bunch of new stuff and looks a million times better obviously.

And for my money, Resident Evil 2 is the best game in the series and possibly also the scariest. Mr X is a freaky dude.

Though I am pretty horrified that neither of you guys have ever played RE before, or even know how to play it. It's an iconic game. Being all ironic about the controls and save system, legitimate design decisions, is kind of dumb and just makes you sound like someone who never played a videogame before Halo.
