Illusion of Gaia 2, Xexys 2, and I second Muzhik's proposal for Crimson Skies 2.
The Sequel You Want That'll Never Be
A new Wipeout game! No Sony console is complete without one.
Also, a new Monkey Island game. It seems likely there will be a game with the license at some point, but an announcement of it going back to the original creators for a follow-up would be great. Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max, too.
Descent 4.
The world needs an honest to goodness fourth Descent game.
This!
Also, DeathDrome II, Shattered Steel II, NecroDome II, Syndicate 4/Wars 2/American Revolt 2/whatever as long as it's isometric, Blake Stone III and G-Police 3.
Oh, and I'd really love to see a M.A.X. - Mechanized Assault & Exploration 3. Those were some really cool RTS-TBS hybrids back in the 90's.
Holy fuck I forgot SimIsle: Missions in the Rainforest. I really want a sequel to SimIsle.
Man, I was REALLY hoping we would get a Bloody Roar game for the PS3 generation. There aren't enough games out there where you can beat the crap out of someone as a giant-rabbit-wearing-a-pink-nurse-outfit. Also, getting drunk with the ex back in college and playing Uriko v Uriko matches resulted in some unforgettable hilarity. (For us. The neighbors probably went insane.) Meow! Meow! Meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeow!
In my dream world Disney decides to green light a sequel to Lucasarts finest game: Gladius.
Chrono Trigger 2.
No, I don't mean Chrono Cross, I mean an actual Chrono Trigger 2. At the Hironobu Sakaguchi panel at PAX last night, he said he actually fought for doing a second Chrono Trigger with the higher-ups and couldn't get it to happen.
Damn it!
Wow, that's interesting. Did he say when this occurred?
I don't see why SE would ever NOT want to do another Chrono game. It's basically free money.
I'm assuming not long after the first game was finished. He said it had been long enough that he could at least mention it, but I imagine that he left out details because there was still some behind-the-scenes aspects of the discussions that have to remain private.
At this point, a new F-Zero. I mean, sure, anything could happen, and it was referenced in Nintendo Land, but because of its absence on the Wii - not to mention the antigrav karts in Mario Kart 8 - it makes me doubt we'll see a fully-fledged F-Zero game anytime soon.
On that note, a new Mother/Earthbound game, as well.
Timesplitters 4
This - I miss Timesplitters so much. Had a great time with friends doing the coop campaign
An Assassin's Creed about assassins and doesn't look boring/sucky/filled with monotonous side tasks in order to make yet another "open world" game
That would have to be an AC title developed by a third party dev and only published by Ubi, I think.
@dixavd: Pokemon Snap 2 would be sick. Maybe off rails?
Drakan ( Order of the Flame and The Ancient Gates were great) , No One Lives Forever, and Steambot Chronicles
@liquiddragon: @dixavd: Mmmmmm, Pokemon Snap II...
Alpha Protocol 2
Dragon's Dogma 2
While I imagine there will be some form of spiritual successor to Dragon's Dogma I doubt they'll make a direct sequel.
Otogi: Myth Of Demons. Remember that game? Among my all-time favourites, it was so damn unique and atmospheric, not to mention hard as balls. It's, ofcourse, a FromSoftware game.
Came here to say this. As cool as the Souls games are, I love me some Otogi.
They did make a sequel, Otogi 2. But it was another original Xbox game. Probably hard to find now.
Alpha Protocol 2, Psychonauts 2, The Movies 2, and a new Jak & Daxter that follows directly from the PS2-era universe without being a reboot or a sequel to that horrid PSP game.
I think the Persona 5 reveals today are getting to me. Despite seeing this thread multiple times, I swear I thought for a moment it said "The Senpai You Want That'll Never Be"
I guess to be on-topic, I would probably say a sequel to Bleach: Soul Resurreccion. Seems that since the anime is done (despite the manga continuing) there hasn't been anything new gaming-wise coming from the franchise.
Psi-Ops 2 would be wonderful.
I wouldn't mind another Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
I REALLY want a new, modern StarTropics game. (1 was amazing and 2 was pretty good as well).
Conker and Banjo Kazooie sequels. A Hitman game that isn't Absolution again. A Splinter Cell game that isn't Conviction and Blacklist again. Shadow Complex. Super Mario Sunshine.
Dark Cloud 3 - I loved 2, but I dont think it sold well enough to justify a sequel.
Marvel vs Capcom 4 - with Marvel now part of the evil empire, I am doubtful an agreement can be reached on another game.
Wasn't that agreement made post Disney purchase?
A new Wipeout, a new Jet Moto, and a new Split/Second. Especially now that these machines have more horsepower, Split/Second could be nuts.
@hemmelight: @liquiddragon: Otogi 2 was fantastic, they improved on the level-design and the variety between the multiple characters was genuinely impressive. Remember the pin-wheel character? Guess where that design landed up? Though, for whatever reason, I can't shake the feeling that Otogi 2 was somehow weaker than the first game, though I wouldn't be able to tell you why. Might just be due to how unique the first game was, very similar to how Dark Souls 2 is compared to Dark Souls 1. (Demons' Souls is a very different game from Dark Souls, despite multiple bosses being identical.) There's also a very certain atmosphere in Otogi 1. I still remember the reverence and respect I felt for my opponent in the duel in the snow, or the awe and disgust at the centipede demon. Man, nostalgia sure works it's wonders.
I'd kill for a third installation of the franchise. There's so much they could do with the fantastical design, imagine, say, the level where you're propelling yourself through the skies using only your sword, bringing down the airships with Current-Gen-appropriate graphics and physics. It'd be something to see alright.

Pretty sure I read it was before, but I hope Im wrong.
It seems a bad sign that the deal has lapsed and MvC games were pulled from digital distro.

Same thing happened with MVC2. Anyway the audience for those fighting games are not the same audience for the other licensed Marvel games. I can't see them not being able to make more Marvel vs. Capcom especially since Square Enix is making more Kingdom Hearts games.
@mikey87144: The difference between those 2 series is millions of copies sold.
But who knows, Disney lets Zen pinball use Marvel, so why not Capcom?
