I just want it to be good and as surprising as the last game. What I really hope doesn't happen, and I'm afraid it will, is that the game doesn't become akin to the COD series where they feel they have to take what was done in the last game and just up it a little. Something like, "Now you can dual-wield big, pink dildo bats bro!!!" I hope the good writing isn't lost to dumbass gags too.
Better customization than 3 gave us. 2 was much better in terms of clothing options. I'm sure people will say "That's not what the game is about!" Fact of the matter is, nobody knows what the fuck any of the games are about, so might as well just give us better customization anyway.
Just more crazy from Saints Row3 plus putting it on the Martian environment used in some of the game. Would just think it'd be a perfect mix if that studio just mixed the Red Faction open world Mars setting with all kinds of crazy from Saints Row3. Even without the destructible environments of Red Faction, the sci-fi levels of crazy are just so numerous that they could go in just about any direction (ie. putting in first contact with an alien race to have it go awesomely wrong/right, time travel, invasions & more).
A much more interesting city with some visual variety, a vastly expanded vehicle and clothing/character customization system and core gameplay that extends beyond just being an average sandbox shooter. SR3 was amazing solely because of weirdness and how it presented that weirdness in the story missions, everything else needed way more attention and I hope it happens in the next game.
A mech level where you have to fight the rival gang's mech/ Godzila monster. If your mech could combine with Pierce, Shaundi, Oleg and some new character's mechs (Power Rangers style) to create a super mech, I would be very pleased.
A map editor exclusive to a multiplayer mode so you can just make fuckarse crazy things like freeway chases or base jumping maps where you fight from building to building.
An insane amount (more) of customizable options. I loved the options we had in 3 with voices, clothes, and overall avatar generation. However, I just felt like the game deserved more zani-ness. I hope SR4 is as solid of a game, but with more depth in it's content and a lot more options with my ability to be the weirdest looking guy on the planet.
I expect nothing good to come out of a sequel to Saints Row The Third that rolls in the material from Enter the Dominatrix. I believe the lightning will not strike twice.
And I'm definitely not just saying that so that I don't get hyped up for Saints 4: Saintz War.
