Did I miss anything you think you should be on this list?
What is your game of the year?
There wasn't really one game that stood out this year, but this does seem to be the year of kick-ass open world games like ACII, Red Faction, and InFamous. So I'll vote for Assassactiamous II Guerrilla.
The only one I played on the list is ODST, but it isn't a game I would consider a GOTY. So I pick Shadow Complex, that game is awesome.
Assassin's Creed 2 is my game of the year, I'm amazed that Borderlands isn't on this list. Borderlands and Dragon Age are 2 and 3 on my list, and don't get me wrong I love Uncharted and Batman and I hope they win somewhere. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is far down my list, I just don't feel like they did everything they could've. Uncharted 2 had two years and it shows. The single player campain is longer and they added multiplayer to a single player only game. Modern Warfare 2 has a shorter single player campain and all they added was spec perks and maps to the multiplayer and if a game is to win Game of the Year it has to prove it did more than the other games of that year and if your a sequel you have to prove even more. Assassin's Creed 2 improved by so much and in the process made an incredible game with a fantastic story in an amazing setting. It also jumped from 9-12 hours in the first game to 18-22 hours in the sequel, just my two cents lets see how this all turns out.
My choice isn't any of those, but of those, Batman. Why? You don't question the goddamn Batman. Just for that, he's killed you.
Is it sad that I haven't played any of those?
From everything I can think of, I'd say left 4 dead 2 would be a good choice (played the demo for an unhealthy amount of time) but it's not on there.
But I will say that Game of the Year, as it is every year, will go to whichever game has guns, people that shoot guns, and multiplayer.
Not for me, mind you, but general consensus will state this.
