Which anime do you think has the potential to make the best video game? Personally, whilst I think Dragonball Z has an absurd amount of potential, it'd be impossible to not make it somewhat cheap. I'm saying Hajime no Ippo (which is a boxing anime that I've grown rather fond of)-it could easily be like a Punch-Out or something along those lines, most characters are completely unique so you've got a vast array of characters, and it could look really flashy whilst still having some amount of depth.

I think One Piece has great potential to be a really cool openworld action-adventure game. Like, more then any other anime I can think of. I don't even like open world games, but I'd shit myself if this happened
Too bad the game license will never fall in a competent developers hands:(
Samurai Champloo had some pretty great potential - it was cool that Grasshopper Manufacture took the license for it and did some cool experiments with it, but overall the gameplay was kind of sub-par and didn't capture all of the feeling of the show.
I think if they made a one piece game that played like guilty gear or blazblue and balanced it it could be pretty good. Black lagoon could be an ok action game With no bullet time and tones of matrix dives And just pure bad ass ness. Card captor sakura could make a zelda like game where you have to run from place to place and try to captor the cards that have escaped. It would run on a dungon system so 1 card per dungon and each enviroment would hold a card.
" I think if they made a one piece game that played like guilty gear or blazblue and balanced it it could be pretty good.Huh, that seems like a weird choice for One Piece. Of all the shounen out there, One Piece seems the least fighting game suited. What makes you think OP would fit as a fighting game?

Ghost in the shell 2nd gig. Make a game like gears of war or something with motoko jumping around all over the place and shooting stuff. I don't know.
Kuri Furi : Naota grows up to be the worlds greatest bassist. In the climax of the biggest concert of his life, the resonance produced by his arcanotech bass guitar shatters reality and he falls through a wormhole into a crazy adventure to rescue his girlfriend from pirates.

" @scarace360 said:Will i think the way the charaacters are they would make kinda good fighting game characters. Like for example lets use street fighter and luffy. Luffy could play like honda. He has a move like 100 slap and he also has bazooka which would work like head butt. He also has gigantic foot which would work like butt slam and finally he could has a throw of some sort. Gear secound could work as a super where he is more powerful for a short amount of time and gear 3rd could work as an ultra. So thats some of my rashanal of how it could work." I think alot of them do but what I think happens is that they try to add to much for the fans and not focus enough good gameplay.
Death Note. Its online multiplayer would consist of typing in enemy user names and saying they'll die of heart attacks.
In seriousness, though, I also think Samurai Champloo could be cool. I'd want it to look as good as Muramasa: The Demon Blade, only in a 3D perspective. I'd also like an Eureka 7 game. It'd be like Robotech Battlecry, but with brighter colors.
Claymore could work I suppose, though I'm not sure how they could keep it interesting. A Darker Than Black one could work, if done correctly.
Here's a total cheat, since it's not actually an anime but...
Samurai Jack.
Ideally it would be a vastly improved version of Shank.
Now I'm thinking a Cowboy Bebop MMO type game. It would be awesome if it worked with your own customizable ship and all the awesome jazz you can handle, but just saying "Cowboy Bebop MMO" I can't help but think this game would be a complete pile of shit." Cowboy Bebop with original characters "
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It would be a squad-based mech combat game where you have the ability to drill into other mechs and take them over. Potential for espionage missions. The game gets mad crazy towards the end as you're drilling into larger and larger mechs and space ships. Also, Yoko levels where you have to snipe. There are enough characters and stories in that anime to pretty much run the gauntlet of gameplay mechanics.
A great Samurai Champloo game would be terrific. As of now, my opinion is that the best anime game in existence is Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. That shit is fun.
" They should make a Pokemon game, I'd play it. "Pokemon MMO... its what Pokemon was made for.
Make Summer Wars' universe come true. Er, wait, we have a bad rendition of that already.
Fucking Astro Boy. Let's take this shit to the beginning and deal with the fact that Astro Boy would be a great game. You could have him fight giant robots (like Pluto from the story about the world's strongest robot) and Treasure already made a bitching side scrolling shooter with the license. Just iterate on that, build in some good fighting and you're raking in... critical praise, and people in the US not knowing what Astro Boy is.
One Piece by far. It has the deepest story, the most characters, and the most unique art style of any anime out there. There won't be any great games based on it though. That's because the Japanese audience will buy anything that says "One Piece" on it and the western audience is nonexistent because 4kids already drove them far, far away from being interested in the franchise. That means there will be no Naruto or DBZ-style treatment of putting any significant time or money into the development of a One Piece game made to appeal to an international market. After all, there's only one country that actually cares.
