Experienced Dota player here (I've got played around 2000 ranked games). I figure HotS will be a place I go to goof off and have more relaxed competitive play.

Oh hey just realized I got in this a few weeks ago (i.e. realized within the last 2 or 3 days, got the email on April 1st); despite intensely disliking how variety died after DoTA killed the UMS/Custom Map scene I admittedly had a good time with Guardians of Middle Earth for 25-30 hours and evidently being one of the best Warhammer Online players makes you pretty good at MOBAs. Efreet #1563; ETC all day every day.
i main abathur pretty well, but can play other characters. I would be interested in some serious team play, especially as this is pretty early into this game.
Just got into the alpha today. I'm pretty inexperienced at MOBA's, but so far this game doesn't seem too tough to figure out. It's a hell of a lot of fun though. :)
Does anyone know if Hots is region seperated like the rest of Blizz games or can I play with anyone (since there doesn't seem to be a region select option for the alpha)?
@tennmuerti: It's region locked as far as I've read. I don't know anyone outside of the U.S. server to test it with or I'd quick try to play a game with them to be sure.
So I dipped my toes into HotS and I gotta say - it's super enjoyable, I'm hooked! All the more surprising because I hate MOBAs and have zero experience in them. Blizzard does it again!
Nerdsbeware#1580! I suck but I'm learning. First MOBA I decided to try when I randomly checked my BNet account and was in the beta. So far I am really enjoying it. Light and fun but a deeper strategy is definitely there under the surface.
Just started playing this past week. Before this played a lot of DOTA 2. Really like that games are shorter and still intense. Always happy to play with some Giants Bombers.

Wow a lot of positive feedback about the game here. Surprising considering that most of the time when a game is developed to draw off of another competitive games' in its own way they end up getting chewed out by most of the original games' fanbase. Will have to give this a go! Can i still request into the alpha/beta (whatever stage theyre in)?
@hypnotoadbrwowrowrow: I think what makes it for me is that there is no items. I just pick skills. The rest is strategy. So much better. Also, there's more then one map.

Though I had a Zagara question since I've been playin Zag for free while it's available. Does anyone ever use the ult Nydus Network? I just couldn't find a use for them being so big and can't place them in good hiding spots (or at least ones I could identify).
Side note: I'm not very good at the game if you do add me. Just a heads up.
Drew's stream got me interested in this. I have maybe 20 hours total spread between LoL, Smite, and Fates Forever. The simplification that Blizzard's done appeals to me. FunkyPants#1246
I don't play other MOBAs but really love Blizzard and how this game feels, looking for people to play with! I really love playing support/healers so if you want a healbot hit me up
@themasterds: I like this idea as well. Wish the chat channels were a little easier to use though rather than text commands. Unless I'm missing something.
@mosaicm80: @takayamasama: Any preference as to channel name? Maybe GBomb since its short and vanilla. Maybe I'm just biased because I hang out in a chat channel with a short name and it really makes no difference. Perhaps then just giantbomb. Hmm. Will think more on this.
