Your best bet for sleeping would probably be a Travelodge or a Premier Inn, both are large chains of budget hotels. Just google them and their websites will probably have a finder thingy to find ones in and around London. I'd be seriously surprised if they didn't have several hotel's in london. Eat, well there's not shortage of places to eat in london. There are fast food places, pubs that serve food, café's all over the place. You shouldn't have any trouble finding cheap food.

EDIT: And WTF is "that lesse monster"???

I live in London, it's awesome. Go to China Town and Trocadero. Do NOT go to Hackney. Some really nice resteraunts around central London, bit steep but totally worth it.

I think he might mean the Loche Ness Monster. You're going to need to go a bit north of London to find that.

That's what I was thinking, but Loche Ness is 5-600 miles away from london.

Premier Inn's are nicer than Travelodges. The pricing is reasonable - expensive but the service is good - basically you know you're not going to end up in a shit hole. Eating in restaurants is expensive in some London restaurants, as are bars, but there are plenty of other places to eat.

Make sure you come and see me in the Midlands.

Where are you actually from Solid Snake?

Kings Cross Pancras has a street right beside the tube where there's nothing but extremely cheap hostel. Alahandra Hostel I reccomend. They do Bed and Breakfast.
Not only are you in the centre of the city but you've access to the tube station that leads to mai lines practically at your doorstep. And if your peckish tere's burger kings and resturants ect right beside you there too.
Seriously they're all beside each other.

The best thing about England is the history. Aside from that I don't think we have particularly good cuisine, weather or attractions.

But like I say - England is all about the history.

I'm from London, it depends on a few things and what you're into. So long as you're 18+ then you could have a really great time out and about, we have some of the best clubs and bars. And then of course all that tourist stuff. The museums are all free, there are galleries.

In terms of accommodation, you need to find a half-decent hostel. But seeing as I've never visited, just lived in, London, I don't really know about which ones are good or bad. But in terms of locations somewhere near Camden Town would be perfect, that place has so much character, the market is something you have to see and it has good transport links. Then again it's a little outside the centre, probably a 20 minute train ride. Just research the hostels as soon as possible, they get booked up very quickly.

How long are you planning on being here for?
