I put tap water...because if I'm at home/work/friends home, i drink water from "the tap" whether or not its been filtered. but if i'm out for the day, then i drink bottled water, because i don''t carry a water bottle around with me.. i'm not a hippie

Back in Lebanon we had a sprint right next to where we lived, and we would bottle water from that.

Here in montreal, Brita.

Tap water, of course.
Bottled water is something you drink when you're in another country with strange tap water, or if you are really thirsty and there is only bottled water nearby.

Bottled water has the bad habit of tasting plastic after a while. Tap for me.

Used to be straight tap water. When I moved to a new city I started with filtered water (mainly as an excuse to have a jug of cold water in the fridge all the time). Now if I drink straight tap I'll get a sore throat. If I get bottled water it'll be purchased in bulk, and since I walk to the grocery store and would have to carry it back I don't do it unless I'm getting enough groceries to need a taxi back.

Tap water at home.  Bottled water (or refill a bottle at a watercooler) at work.  But voted for tap.

Filtered tap water, but I consume water at such a rate that I end up having to fill my bottle with unfiltered, and when wherever I am has disgusting tasting unfiltered water I'll buy a bottle of it. Yes, I carry a stainless steel water bottle with me, I'm from a hippy college town, what can I say?

@jadeskye: Tap water in London has been approved perfectly safe by the DWI. It's also rated as one the top tap water supplies in the UK. Which also happens to make it one of the safest supplies in the world.

This thread made me feel bad for how little I actually drink just water. I usually just drink tea, milk, juice etc.

So I went and got a glass of water. Tap, Brita.

Bottled. I do have a water source installed but the water that comes from it is improper for consumption.

Why would you ever, EVER pay 1000x what the water is worth, when a $15 sink filter will get you the same thing?

Just buy a pitcher/faucet filter & only buy bottled water on those odd moments like when traveling & need the bottle to refil with other drink goodness for later.

Fresh mountain water on tap. One plus with living in North Norway - arguably the best water in the world.

My tap water is free, coming from our own well that sits on a natural underground spring. But instead I don't drink water, I just drink soda. I have corn syrup for blood.

I enjoy clean, free water of the highest quality. Why would I pay for something like that? If you can't drink the water coming out of your tap, then you city have a huge problem...

But if you say tap, and don't have a Brita filter on there at least, then ugh.
