I don't much care for the guys' opinion on movies. They just don't have the credibility I'd want from people who're telling me what to see. I found the podcast particularly frustrating to listen to, I even had to turn it off about ten minutes in. Yeah, from the second I heard about Navarro/Rorie doing Screened, I thought it was a little strange. This is obviously not true, but I immediately had the feeling that they all just wanted Alex to work for them and this was the only way they could shoehorn him into the Whiskey Media family since Giant Bomb already has enough dudes.
I really don't have much interest in screened.com. Not a very big fan of movies.
Besides an occasional click on a Tested article via the bottom of a Giant Bomb page, I don't really have any interest in any of the other Whiskey Media sites. I'm a dork and like games, but comics, anime, and movies don't really do anything for me.
I agree completely with everyone on the opinion thing. Giantbomb is cool cuz everyone here is hilarious and seem to be having a blast no matter what they do. If they aren't having fun, they're at least being funny. Screened seems to be a review site. (we could goto RT for reviews).
But at least it's going to be a giant image database.
edit: also, if you listen to the behind screen doors podcast, ryan seems to know a lot about movies.

Seems like Megan Fox is popular because she's popular. Seriously there are much prettier, much more talented and much less blandly appealing actresses out there. And on the screened.com note, I visit it because I like movies, I think i'll visit it often but I agree it's no Giantbomb.

What kind of credibility are you referring to? They have obviously seen a lot of movies, what more do you need? To me their fine because in my opinion they don't seem as pompous as other movie reviewers seem to be.

okay. as someone with their bachelor's degree in film/video, let me share a piece of advice with you: no one likes a guy who touts a film school background as a reason to ignore educated opinions on movies. yes, it can be frustrating at times, but there's plenty of forum space available for you to add to the debate, rather than just ignore it and walk away.

Why is this the first time I've heard of this chick?
I've been going the last day or so to their website just to look around. I've never put much stock into film reviewers and probably never will but I do on occasion wonder what some opinions are for certain movies. Also another podcast available is always a plus!

Oh, and I was sold on Screened after seeing the opening video game showing Matt Rorie and Alex Navarro standing in front of two Lethal Weapon posters (which is my favorite movie series, by the way).
Besides, IMDB has always let me down in many ways. I've been looking for a good new movie site to appreciate.

As opposed to their opinion on video games? It's not like they all have degrees in critiquing video games.

I go to Screened for information and conversation, not for pictures of hot starlets. There are a million sites out there in addition to Google Images to keep me well supplied on that front should I desire them. Screened has solidly moved in right behind Giant Bomb as my 2nd favorite site and I have high expectations for its future.
