yup, i love me some metals

I'm not a metal fan at all, I find the music really boring.
 
I especially dislike Megadeath, Disturbed and that stuff, the main thing that turns me off is vocals and boring grinding guitars.
 
The imagery associated is meh, I think dudes with long unwashed hair are silly.

Only when it's about fondling the genitalia of corpses or uses a circular saw as an instrument.

As with pretty much all genres, some bands are amazing while others just couldn't be any worse...
But anyway, overall, yeah, I like it. Some bands such as Opeth, My Dying Bride and Iron Maiden actually rank among some of my favorites ever. Also, TooL is favorite band in the active :)

That I do. Used to be alot more than most other overall genres of music, though these days I listen to metal as much as electronica, rock, funk, old school rap and a dozen of other genres I've grown to enjoy since secondary school.

sorry, but your kind of wrong WickedFather, at least you still listen to the magic of those albums, and Metallica is the Greatest band, along with Black Sabbth and Led Zeppelin, and even Voivod. I quite enjoy metal, mainly thrash metal, but also love the 70s rock.

I'm a big metal fan.  Mostly Norwegian black and death metal such as Enslaved, Mayhem, Dodheimsgaard, Dimmu Borgir, and Age of Silence, but also the random heavier US bands like Cattle Decapitation, Wolves in the Throne Room, and Mastodon, and UK bands like Anaal Nathrakh.  

Why is it everytime someone mentions metal everyone seems to have to come in a post their favorite "Metal" song or artist.
