Eating when hungry or drinking when thirsty, which is better?
Drinking when thirsty.
I've never really experienced such severe hunger that I actually needed food or else I might pass out or something. But some physical labor I've done has brought my body to the point where if I hadn't had water I might pass out. So I understand the drinking one better.
Nothing is better than drinking when your thirsty.
That being said, you can die of thirst in days, where it takes weeks to die of starvation so my opinion could change if I ever went a few days without eating.
Im almost always hungover and having to "drinking when thirsty" for that reason is not fun for me. I sit at the sink with a cup of ice drinking the shit out of water. It sucks.
Drinking.
Usually, when you're ravenously hungry, or at least when I'm really, really hungry, I just chow down on a bunch of food. It doesn't feel good so much as it feels like I'm doing something I really need to. When I'm terribly thirsty, however, after a hard day's work, turning up a near-frozen glass of fresh water feels really good.
Maybe it's different for others.
nothing better than a cool drink of water when you are parched. probably the most satisfying feeling one can have.
in my excitement to pick "drinking when thirsty" I accidentally picked "eating when hungry"
I hope this mistake doesn't come back to haunt me in the future.

Sorry. I know what you mean with your sentence, but I can't stop imagining you drinking shit water from a toilet when you are thirsty. Sorry.
Either one is not really a winning choice. One you die from dehydration and the other you die of hunger.
Defintiely drinking when thirsty because it takes some time for the recently-empty stomach to stop hurting. The gratification when drinking is instant.
My family can't feel hunger pains. We have cats so that we are reminded to eat when they bother us for food. Drinking when thirsty wins by default for me.

This begs the question: a really good shit or a nice long piss?
a nice long piss.
So looking at the poll anything involving liquids is better than anything involving solids.
yup.
I don't really feel hungry, ever. Sometimes going a few days without eating a proper meal then I realize it.
Drinking is always a better feeling, like.. the morning after getting hammered, first thing you do is drink water.
I've never really been so hungry that I was "starving." I've been a little delirious from, like, a day long tabletop session or - less frequently - study session, but never in pain.
So, yeah... drinking when thirsty. Some country-ass hard well water after a long day is really, really good.
When I take a drink while really thirsty it is instantly very refreshing and relieving. Eating when I'm extremely hungry though usually involves shoving food down my throat so fast I can't even taste it, only to feel relief from the pain in my stomach like 5 or 10 minutes later.
I think most people don't truly know what it means to be hungry. It is easy to get thirsty, but how many of us have gone several days, or weeks with eating little to nothing. Only then can you answer this question.
Thirsty for sure. I can overeat fairly easily, however it takes an unholy amount of liquid to make me feel terrible.

This, it's going to depend on which one you need more at the moment that you need it.
There's really no opinions when it comes to stuff you need, and you need to drink water more often than you need to eat food. Thus, it stands to reason that drinking when thirsty is way more awesome than eating when hungry.
The issue with the "eating when hungry might be worse after a few weeks!" crowd is, that doesn't change the fundamental issue between the two things.
If I am thirsty, any sort of liquid becomes amazing, and energizes me almost instantly. That refreshing feeling of everything coming back to life is super great, no matter if it's just the mouth after a hard days work in the sun, or the entire body getting refueled.
The two times I've ever reached even basic "hunger" states, ie not eating for 2-3 days then eating, I didn't get any of that. I wolfed down food so quickly that I couldn't taste it, and felt sick within minutes. It was only after that passed did I feel "better" and even then, that was just a return to the norm. If I was even hungrier, that wouldn't change the lack of taste/sickness, just make them worse. So the best you can actually get from "eating while hungry" is "normal".
