recently? bastard - tyler the creator. and crack the skye - mastodon.
This man has excellent taste.
I prefer Radical over Bastard though.
All time is straight impossible to pick.
Recently it's Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys.
Mine is the Stone Roses' self-titled debut. My perfect album.
EDIT: A lot of really good albums in here. Joy Division, The Smith, The Avalances, and a lot more.
I'll pick a few:
Pinkerton - Weezer
Sound of Silver - LCD Soundsystem
In Rainbows - Radiohead
You're Living All Over Me - Dinosaur Jr.
A Grand Don't Come for Free (The Streets)
Boy in da Corner (Dizzee Rascal)
Live at the Tin Angel (Kyle Justin)
Art of Motion (Andy Mckee)
36 Chambers (Wu Tang)
Incredibly difficult question that I don't think I could answer if I gave it in-depth thought.
BUT, irrational spontaneity brought Good News for People Who Love Bad News was the first thing that popped into my head.
Truly my favorite metal album of all time. Just so fucking...good. Shame that nothing after Whisper is any good.
Fuck man. I could listen to this album for almost any occasion. It's always my first pick for anything; gaming, parties, chilling out...anything.
Then this album is everything I love about the Pumpkins, but distilled into acoustic rock. The really strong structures with interesting hooks and instrumentation. Oh, and James' should have been the lead singer for the Pumpkins, such a good voice.
My top ten albums are literally all tied for favorite of all time...but if I had to pick ONE I had to listen to for the rest of time I'd definately pick Illinois by Sufjan Stevens. With Radiohead's Kid A and In Rainbows right behind. And Loveless....see how indecisive I am!
The Cult's Sonic Temple album. It's just so simple to go to it, pick a random song and get your ass rocked off that it's almost frightening.
It's weird because none of the songs are a favorite of mine, The Cult isn't a favorite band of mine, but the album so effortlessly makes damn good music that it's like dark magic.
