No mashup between the Bomb and I <3 NY marketing campaign logo?
I (bomb logo)
N Y

Do you seriously think that would go over well?
@cthomer5000: That's really funny, but that might even be too dark for me to wear.

i was just waiting for someone to put 2 and 2 together and see that anything "bomb" and "NY" don't go together very well... on a shirt at least.

I'd love to see someone take the old "Fishstick" NY Islander's logo from the 90s and put a GB spin on it.
This is...a blasphemous logo. Are you secretly Joe Spano?

I don't want anything in my reference to link Mike Milbury to Vinny Caravella. Those guys are either end of the spectrum when it comes to competency.
A million times yes! I love the fact that I'm seeing the old Islanders logo on Giantbomb, haha. Deep down I wish the Islanders would bring this logo back full time, but I'm also crazy.
@bulby33: That's pretty good. I wanted to make one with the Mets logo, but couldn't figure out what to do. Nicely done.
Too lazy to really crop the image on proper, but you get the idea. Rest in Peace to the homie B-boy Frosty Freeze.
@vinny what you know about the Freeze to Please? Rock Steady Crew!
Can we start calling it the Giant Bomb Wolf Pack?
for some reason I snapped to the shadow in the background expecting to see Alex and Vinny
@tom_omb: Solid
@sgtsphynx@monkeyman04@benspyda Thanks guys!
@ltsmash: I decided to do a quick photoshop. AWOOOO!
Some great work so far. Logo for shirt is neat but also just general funny artwork for them to get up on the walls. That Vinny Die Hard poster is the perfect type of stuff. Also love the GBNY badge.
I'd be curious to see something done in a street graffiti style, either on its own as just a logo or a street scene in the city with Giant Bomb graffiti tagged over some other stuff. Under a bridge etc
Maybe some kind of NYC garbage truck with the logo on the side of it. Maybe squeeze in some photoshopping of Alex and Vinny's faces on the garbage men. Giant Bomb NY taking out the trash. Photoshop IGN and other game site logos coming out of the trash cans if you want some "shots fired" action.
Hmm.. Or maybe a logo on a manhole cover? Just grimy NYC type of stuff.
Wish I was any good at art :/
@seikenfreak: Was this something that you had in mind?
@monkeyman04: Not quite.
What I had in mind would take a fair amount of photoshop skill/time I think. But who knows, all this stuff seems relatively complex for me but more experienced people blow things out in no time.
I'm thinking something more along the lines of this as a rough example:
So on top you'd have Giant Bomb written as a semi-circle text arch across the top half. Bottom half would be New York. Center area would be the bomb. But I don't mean all this just as an image overlay, I mean full on make it appear as if it it molded into the manhole cover itself. No colors. Just a rusty dirty looking manhole cover just like the example above. Not quite sure how you could do this but I imagine a person could.
I'm guessing you'd have to skew the whole thing to give it an off angle. Design the base layer shape/texture like all this manhole covers have different shapes/designs to give him a grippy texture. Make one shape and copy paste it a bunch of times to make a grid for filling in the shape. Then place the logo in the center. I think you'd have to take just an outlined shaped of it, same with the text arches. The two words of "Giant" and "Bomb" would be separated by the bomb fuse I guess? Split "New York" on the bottom as well I imagine. Then apply an emboss or something to give it some depth. Spend tons more time give it a realistic appearance lol.
I don't know. I have very basic skills with photoshop, but with what I do think I know, that's how I'd attempt to approach that specific manhole idea. It would probably look like crap in the end because I don't understand how to do fancy stuff haha. I've been sitting here trying to do a rough idea of it in photoshop since you asked and I'm already getting impatient. Doing this sort of stuff sucks with a mouse I guess.
@seikenfreak: I see what you're talking about.
Here is a rough of logo I have been working on. It is based on the New Jersey Nets logo from the earlier 80s. I have not decided if I should follow Giant Bomb color scheme. I will try to come up with more logos that are not a parody or facsimile of an existing sports team logo. Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
This is just a quick mashup of @brianfolchetti 's Vinnco logo and the GB Persona logo by @supernormalstep.
I love both so much and, well, I think it sums up Vinny and the Wolf very well.
Note: I used the 'Lakesight' font from dafont.com, so it only allows permission for personal use.

T-shirt and/or hoody of this please!
Wow, there's some really great stuff in this thread now! It inspired me to actually try to do something decent.
Apologies to @monkeyman04 for shamelessly thieving his idea of modifying the Knicks' logo.
@damodar: It's all good! What you've done is better then what I've done! imo XD
@dorkymohr: OMG this is lovely.
