...At the California Extreme Pinball and Arcade expo. They looked busy having fun so I didn't bother them with "I'm a big fan" or anything. In retrospect I feel like I should have at least said "hi".
I saw the GB staff in person today...
the sad thing is everyone on this site would love to run into them like that and then be invited to do a podcast after hanging out with them the whole day. Its to bad there isnt more community love from ViRyJeBr. I think, according to the above, the community is in need of some caressing and maybe a little spooning.
@Twitchey said:Which is the fucking creepiest thing that anyone of us could have witnessed here on the forums. You should have pants one of them and sold the pants to someone.A lot of people here would probably pay a loooot of money for a pair of their trousers.
Yeah i dont know what id do, maybe awkardly approach them and thank them for the madness that is Giant Bomb, offer to buy them a drink and then leave them to carry on with their work. As much as id like a photo or something they are probably way to busy trying to cover everything and get it up on the site to do it for everyone that shows up.
I'd say hi and shake their hands; maybe ask for a picture if they didn't look too busy. Pretty cool that you did get to see them, though.
You should've said hi, I'm sure they would have appreciated it.I don't know. I always imagine that they might get kind of annoyed since fans approaching them probably happens all the time.
They're a bunch of game journalists doing their jobs.. so what if you saw them? I don't understand how this is news worthy

They're a little more than game journalists. If they were just journalist, we'd just know them by their articles and most of us wouldn't know what any of them look like. They are more like TV show hosts but on the internet. Journalists only write articles. They are more like internet hosts or entertainers.
@ZombieJerkysaid:
I saw them in the bar as well at CA Extreme. I was with my daughters, so I didn't bother them.
I wouldn't let Jeff near children either.

They are just journalists.
No need to pants/hump/drool over any of them.
Just journalists?
JUST JOURNALISTS!?
Hey I guess you're right lets be friends.
I met Jeff, Vinny, and Drew at PAX East this year. They were just standing around bullshitting, so I went up to them, said my thank yous, got a quick picture and was on my way. They all seemed very gracious and approachable.
Yeah, you would have said hi, that right there is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity!@CLinendoll said:

You should have ran up to Ryan and wiped some of his sweat off onto a towel and ran away screaming "I HAVE HIS POWER! I HAVE HIS POWER!"
I don't know why some people are afraid or think it would be awkward to say hello to them. They've said many times before that they love meeting fans of the site. I met them all at PAX and they didn't bite.

Probably because most of us are super shy and awkward people who think only of the worst case scenario. So, yep!
You should have just casually walked by saying " You know, i'm a wizard and that shit looks fucked up"
You should have walked right behind them all day, and also told them everything they did wrong while playing games.
Back-seat video game playing is something I'm sure they would appreciate!
Also, how can a photo-sharing service go to California Extreme!?

I don't want to sound rude but they all look horrified by something
