This is Vision to America:

Mississippi Tea Party Chairman Roy Nicholson posted a statement at his group’s website on Friday proclaiming that “the US Supreme Court has joined with the Executive and Legislative branches of the federal government in abandoning the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and with that ruling abandoned the People.”

“The all out oppression of all people has begun,” Nicholson continued. “In such cases submission is treason. Treason against the Constitution and the valid legitimate government of the nation to which we have pledged our allegiance for years. To resist by all means that are right in the eyes of God is not rebellion or insurrection, it is patriotic resistance to invasion. . . . May godly courageous leaders rise up in His wisdom and power to lead us in displacing the criminal invaders.”

Firstly, insurrection? Civil War? The Supreme Court ruled it constitutional, but hey, let's not support the Supreme Court if it doesn't suit us.

All out oppression? Over health care? Really? Treason? Invasion? By who? Displacing the criminal invaders? Did I fall asleep and miss that monumental event?

This is vile and the rhetoric that is eminating from the far right. Does free speech really go to inciting civil war? If it does, then that is just crazy. However, it gets worse when you read comments from the supporters - caution, vile, racist language will follow, as well as comments supporting killing the President:

Impeach Obama now. Impeach Chief Justice Roberts and the three other liberals in the Supreme Court after the next election.

Only "GOD,GUNS,and GUTS" can save te "REPUBLIC" now !!

It's incendiary speech, but it is largely protected by the First Amendment. If this sort of language was in a pamphlet, it would be protected speech. If this guy was giving a speech to a group of people and encouraging them to commit illegal acts, he could be found guilty of solicitation. Overall though, beyond the "save America, shoot a Muslim" thing, he is largely advising people to rebel by legal means. I certainly don't agree with his opinions and think he could use an editor, but he isn't technically doing anything wrong.

As for the future of American society, I think things will improve. It just happens to be very partisan right now. The rights of the federal government, the state government, and the individual are in flux at the moment due to the attempted reforms of the financial and medical systems. The important thing is to stay involved where you can and advocate for what you believe is right. Think of it as your...vision of America.

The last two posts I've read from you were from right wing extremists. Do you just search the web for extremist points of view so you can crap on everyone in the Republican party? I'm a registered republican and the only two things from that entire work of lunacy that I agree with is that Obama is not good for our country and this healthcare bill is a very bad idea.

This. I am a pretty hardcore liberal, but even I know that the vast majority of conservatives are not that nutty. This is extremism to the point of advocating domestic terrorism.

That being said I wish fiscal conservatives would force religious fundamentalists out of the party so that they could form their own pointless party, and we could go back to having rational discussions about the government and it's place in the economy

I don't understand how these people can be spreading hatred like this and truly believe that it's justified. Sometimes I read articles online where you have to post using your Facebook ID (which means you can't be completely anonymous) and people say the most vile, hateful things regardless. I thought comments like these were just people trolling or venting behind anonymity, but apparently these people are very real. It scares me.

I beg your pardon? USA has already infected the entire world and we're all suffering from it. There's no denying that USA is a bloody bully, I'm just wondering when people will set their foot down and say "enough!" Listen, 'wise' is irrelevant. People have the protected right in the US to say whatever they want. We all also have the right to ignore them. If we do, the people we don't agree with will no longer have anyone to talk to on their soapbox. So ignore them. Even if they do continue to preach on their soapbox if they speak lunacy like 'civil war' nothing of importance or value will come of it. So who fucking cares?

Actually, has a video game been made yet involving that premise? Not the ranting, the American people overthrowing the American government.

They don't really focus on it, but that's basically the premise of Shadow Complex. Or, well, it's universe, as shown in the Empire and Hidden Empire novels by Orson Scott Card. Don't read em, the former is okay and the latter is awful (like, real bad).

For the conservatives, it's tricking people into thinking liberals are going to steal their way of life and turn everyone into grass eating monochrome robots who serve the machine of the government. For the liberals, they trick people into believing conservatives are all out evil corporations who want to suck the life force out of every earth loving human and animal. Forcing everyone to eat their own shit to survive while hilariously enough, turning people into monochrome robots who work for private corporations.

and then there are the people who see through all the bullshit but are stuck choosing between the lesser of two evils.

That's very true that it was never intended as a constitutional document, but the opening statement:

But just so I'm not associated with the OP's quote, I'm not advocating revolt, nor am I about to take up arms against my beloved country. I think America will collapse for the same reasons as the Roman Empire long before revolt is even remotely necessary.
