No. I will get bored of anything if I listen to it too much too soon.

True - it just loses its impact.

However, if we are talking old stuff I still enjoy, then:
B52s - Planet Claire
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer, Burning Down the House
New Order - Blue Monday

Same here. If listen to something too much and over play it then I never want to hear it again, because once a song is overplayed it's overplayed.

@c1337us: I know that happens, and that is the law of diminishing returns. You know, it doesn't have to be a song that you listen to everyday. It can be a song that you don't mind listening to every week or every other week. If you can't think of a song, then that's fine. I get like that too, but there are some things that I like to go back to. It took me a little bit to think of something for this thread! : - P

Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor. I can listen to it anywhere, anytime, no matter how I feel.

But really, pretty much all my music I can listen to a lot, it just depends on the mood I'm in.

Hmm...well, I've loved these songs for many years now:

  1. A Night in Tunisia (1942) - Dizzy Gillespie
  2. April in Paris (1932) - Count Basie version is my favorite but I also love the one by Charlie Parker
  3. Where or When (1937) - like the Elle Fitzgerald version best
  4. Caravan (1937) - Duke Ellington or Wes Montgomery
  5. Summertime (1935) - Miles Davis is my favorite among all the renditions but the Elle/Louis Armstrong is sweet, too
  6. Blue Rondo a la Turk (1959) - Dave Brubeck
  7. Moonglow (1935) - Benny Goodman quartet is my favorite
  8. Bloomdido (1953) - Charlie Parker
  9. Rhapsody in Blue (1924) - Leonard Bernstein directed a very good recording of this
  10. Sing, Sing, Sing (1935) Benny Goodman Orchestra version...big and brassy
Yeah, they're all jazz but that's because I never get tired of jazz music.  It has such depth and imaginative structure that for me it's as timeless as a beloved painting.

While those wouldn't be my personal top choices all of those would actually be on a list of songs that I always listen to. I like your taste. "Fade to Black" and "Hurricane" especially.

My two songs that I can NEVER get tired of listening to are "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen and "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. I have listened to them both countless times and they still sound new for me.

@PenguinDust:
"Rhapsody in Blue" may, in fact, be the best song of all time. At least of the early twentieth century. I have listened to that one many times as well and every nuance and small detail the song has truly makes the images of New York, or any other place, come alive. Truly a perfect song in my eyes.

There are a ton of songs I've listened to hundreds of times.  Sometimes when I find a song I really love I'll listen to it looping for hours, literally.  Then eventually I don't feel that need anymore, and I just listen to it occasionally.  Rarely this makes me sick of a song forever.  There's no song I could stand listening to 24 hours a day forever.

Pop music examples :
Smooth Criminal
Livin on a Prayer

Game music examples :
Heretic Hero from Halo 2
the WipEout 1 soundtrack  (also bought some of Cold Storage's more recent music from his website, including an amazing one called Pencil Neck)
recently, the Shatter soundtrack, although that one didn't have quite the life cycle
Africa stage theme from SF4
Gradius soundtracks
and many more
