Regardless, they still suck. Also, screaming isn't ala screamo bands isn't metal in any way, shape or form. People may say black metal bands do it but they don't, they do guttural vocals higher up than your typical band. Another key difference is that you can actually understand most black metal bands while screamo bands are complete gibberish, even when reading along with the lyrics.

Lies. I can understand basically any Emperor, Immortal, Carpathian Forest song or really any other black metal song. You just have to listen to it a lot.
Am I the only one who didn't really like Mastodon's new effort? It was good and has great ambition for progressing their sound but the spirit of what Mastodon sounded like in the previous albums seems lost abruptly. It seemed they tried to differentiate themselves from Atlanta sludge bands like Kylesa, Withered, and Baroness that they lost their touch.
