Jason Schwartzman is the first name that comes to mind. There are plenty of actors and actresses I love but they don't automatically mean I'll go see their movies. For example, I love Meryl Streep but there's no way I'm going to watch Julia & Julia just because she's in it.
 
When it comes to writers and directors, however, it's completely different.

If i saw more movies, i would Say Nicholas cage.

There is some truth here for me as well.  I really liked a couple of his movies and have been trying to recapture that laugh-my-ass off joy again, but Land of the Lost and Step Brothers sucked so I am more wary of his films.  Chances are I'll see the next one anyway though.   Other than that, I can't think of any.  I like quite a few actors like John Cusack and then there are actresses so breathtaking I'd watch them read the phone book for 2 hours (Keira Knightley) , but the majority of the film stars I choose to see have to be in something that interests me.  "
