New Giantbomb Update is live.. Thoughts?

I am not liking this facebook connect button at the top.. its ugly and awful and the last thing I would ever want to do is let my real life friends know all the videogame stuff I am up to. The colour change and RSS buttons could be somewhere else as well.. I dont need 1 click colour change functionality seeing as I don't plan to be changing it all the time.
 
So what else have you noticed thats new? What do you like or dislike?
The bombcast page is fucking amazing

I agree with the Facebook thing, have it be where the Twitter thing is, not next to where your log-in is. It's distracting and feels un-safe.
 
Also, the Twitter text box is the still black when in White mode.

I'm curious about what all information Giant Bomb would be sharing with my Facebook and vice versa. I don't want all my friends knowing how much I am addicted to this site.
 
Besides that, I think I might like the white site more if my eyes can adjust. Currently, it hurts.

I don't like change.

When you post something.. maybe its only when you make a thread.. but it has a huge MAKE SURE PEOPLE RESPOND BY POSTING IT ON FACEBOOK CLICK HERE RAWRR!!! Ugly ass thing that appears.. Hating that most right now.

A lot of personal things I don't like, but I'm not the only person using the site, so whatever.
 

• I really don't understand what the big deal is about the white design. The site is very obviously built with the black color scheme in mind, and the white always ends up looking like a mishmash between the two rather than a full-fledged skin.
• I liked the old "online now" and etc buttons better, but that initial reaction could just be because I was so used to the old ones.
•  I agree that the Facebook button looks gaudy and mars the design, and since I don't even use Facebook, it will sit there unused. I understand the need to announce the feature, but it should eventually be moved into a section of the profile, like Twitter is.     

i am playing around. first thing i did was play with the color thing. i like my black background better then the white and gray type of thing.  i really like the update.

Yeah, I don't like seeing the buttons and I don't like the idea of letting all my friends actually know how damn nerdy I am.

One thing that really annoys me is that you can't change the page at the top. You know, on the forums. There's usually more than one page. Usually, I just go to the last comment. Now I have to scroll to the bottom of the page. A minor annoyance, but it is still an annoyance.

Does it post every single thing on facebook when you connect? Cause no thank you in that case. I don't need everyone to know about my theories on Mass Effect 2

Everythin looks a little tacky for my tastes. And most of the alterations seem very unnecessary and now almost seem out of place.

When the site is white, it looks ugly and janky. Other than that, it's fine.

I don't really mind the white design, but I'll stick with the black design...it doesn't hurt my eyes and just looks better. I'm not big on the facebook button being right their at the top my screen. It just looks out of place and I don't even use facebook (or any of those other social site's such as myspace and whatnot), so it's just going to go unused. Also...featured review's are gone now.

Oh man. The White Giant Bomb is still unsightly. 
 
Other than that, I have no beef. I'm sure the site's load speed is a temporary hiccup.

What exactly does the Facebook feature add? Personally I don't want my Facebook being filled with Giant Bomb updates. 
 
Other than that I really like the redesign. The site loads very slow for me (Chrome), but that comes with these sort of things during the early stages.

I'd like to know what the facebook thing does. For the moment the button does seem a little too noticable. The white design could use some extra grey. Too much of it is pure white.

I think the bombcast page artwork is so good that I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of it scattered around the site.

I really like the new update. The new design features are better than the old ones. The bombcast background is positively awesome. I'm still kinda figuring out how does this new facebook thing work with GB.

I like the new look of the layout, it's very sleek looking.

Eh, the page counter is gone from the top, there's less posts on one page.  
 
I'll live, but I preferred the old one. 
  
I do like the new online now, moderator, staff buttons though.

Awesome update, although I don't want my facebook connected to GB, I love GB too much to do that to it.

Well, the update is fine by me, white mode is meh to me but I keep it black/gray for a reason and I don't think the facebook integration is really necessary but whatever.

The search finally works like it should after 1 year and a half.

Why can't I click the next page from the top and only the bottom?!!?!?!?!?

I'm indifferent about the Facebook stuff.  I don't even know what gets posted where, so we'll see. 
The new page number, staff and online buttons are much better. 
The bombcast page is friggin awesome. 
I'm sticking with the nice black page. 
Haven't noticed any major bugs yet, apart from the view count thing. 
 
All in all, it's still Giant Bomb, so I'm happy.

The facebook integration is a welcomed addition, other than I haven't really looked around much.

Kind of ironic that they were talking about Twitter spam from Uncharted 2, but they add Twitter AND Facebook spam

Bombcast page = great.  
Colour change = I don't really care.  
Achievement page = Looks really tacky. The graphs look weird, and the bars now have curved ends for no reason

I want a high quality version of the bombcast page image so i can use it as my desktop background :P

Turbo_Toaster's Bombcast art is the duck's nuts! Two thumbs and two big toes up.

I hate the ubiquity of the Facebook feature, and I really wish I could remove all these buttons pleading me to "connect".
 
Also: Twitter updates on the Achievements page? Really? There was backlash when Uncharted 2 did it for a reason!
 
I do like the aesthetic changes, though (new buttons, new Bombcast page).

Feel kind of indifferent, the changes are mostly cosmetic. Best change has to be the Bombcast page.

I feel like at the point Giantbomb becomes a whitewashed web2.0 website, it stops being cultish and awesome.

The update is great, but there are two things I don't like.
1) Although the new bombcast background is rad, the old one was kind of rad on another level. Maybe it's just me... but I loved it.
2) Facebook button really juts out of the otherwise beautiful design.
