I'm curious, in a battle of pigeons vs. squirrels, who wins?
I vote squirrels since they came climb stuff and some of them can even fly or jump really high. Plus when the birds come to attack, they have to dive to the ground, leaving them vulnerable.
Squirrels. They would easy tear a pidgeon to shreds in close combat. Don't believe me? Reach your hand into a hollow in a tree where a squirrel keeps his nuts.
That depends if it was a population battle that would have time for aids to run its course then perhaps that would work. However if it was a battle between only a handful of pigeons and squirrels, the squirrels would win quite quickly. Also your argument rests on the possibility that the pigeons involved in the battle had access to aids to access as carriers.
