So Scrubs is finished...

Well most probably, though I'd happily welcome a season 9, even if it is without JD.

My thoughts are that a series needs to end while it's still good rather than be run into the ground.

I forgot it was still on the air. I've enjoyed the show so far but I haven't really seen anything from season 8. As for season 9, it could work but it would all depend on who becomes the new leading man and if the writers can keep the show funny.

Wait, what! Man... I've missed a lot. Is there any where I can watch the episodes online?

well I guess you (and only you) will be happy because they've said they want to continue the series but starring the new interns instead

Yea I forgot about that show. It's one of those shows I could only watch for a couple shows before im like "okay I get it same comic structure all the time" then stop watching it, but that show has some stupidly hilarious moments.

I thought the finale was awesome. The whole idea of the projector was artistically done. That said, the show needs to end. Much like the Office.

I thought it was an excellent end to a great show. I would love to see Scrubs return with a new main character, start over with some new people. Even though I doubt they could manage to do as good a job as the original bunch, I would be interested to see where the show could go.

I havn't really watched that last 3 or so seasons of scrubs. I love the show and caught the finale last night which was very sad. They really should just end it. No one is going to watch a new main character.

Just finished watching the finale. I think I've watched every single Scrubs episode, and most of them were worth watching. I only really disliked the parts about JD's girlfriend getting pregnant, those we're awful.

Overall good ending though, especially the projector part.

The show was great, but without JD it wouldn't be the same. They should just let it end on a good note....

I havent been watching scrubs for a while so i am not up to date with the goings on. I cant imagine the show doing well with out JD.

I never really liked JD, but he was the glue to the show.

Scrubs had a great run, but now that JD will be gone there may be little point to another season. A spinoff starring cox might work, but other than that i think its Scrubs time

I thought the finale was great. It was fun seeing all of the characters that the show has had, as well as the montage at the end, which was brilliant.

I think the show ended at the right time. It was getting kind of stale and I think the fact that it was lucky enough to have a proper series finale instead of a cancellation is something not a lot of great shows can say.

I stopped watching Scrubs a long time ago, but I watched the series finale out of curiosity. It was pretty good.

seriously loved the ending...it was like, although its disappointing that it wont be coming back, im ok with it - completely due to the quality ending of the show...

Scrubs was always a great, unique TV show simply because they actually had an entire hospital to use as a set and base for the production. As a result, Scrubs looks much more realistic than any other sitcom, and had great lighting. And the cast of course was brilliant and the show had lots of great laugh-out-loud moments over the years. Sucks to see it end, but you can't just produce TV shows forever.

Scrubs was pretty funny, but I was staring to get tired of it.
Its completely possible for them to continue the show , but I really doubt any of the current characters would keep it interesting enough.

OH GOD IT'S OVER WHAT I DIDN'T READ ANY OF THIS THREAD FOR FEAR OF SPOILERS BUT OH MY GOD NOOOOO ;_;

No it isn't..... FOX is getting all the actors to sign new contracts because they want a new season. The "last" season of Scrubs did better then a lot of there NEW shows like Dollhouse & Chuck so they're totally going to renew it for another season.

Zach Braff is scheduled to appear in 6 of the episodes in season 9. i'm quite relieved; he was a good actor and kept the show together.

I hope this is the last season because I find that as the seasons go on the less funny Scrubs gets so I say why not quit while you are ahead. 

Renewing it for another season was a mistake. I think a good deal of the people who watch Scrubs know that the show isn't going to be the same with multiple actors either leaving or expressing the desire to leave. Seriously, sinking more money into the show just because what people *thought* was going to be the last season turned out to get a decent amount of viewers could definitely bite them in the ass when no one watches this year.
 
Once a show loses the main character, it's time to move on to something else. Get some new ideas in there.

I loved the show, but fell behind a few seasons :(. I am hoping that Netflix adds it to its instant streaming list.

The shows nothing without him, if they did do other season who'd be the MC?
