I recently heard Stacy's mom on the radio, and I was reminded of all the songs I listened to as a kid. So I got all inspired to hunt for old songs I used to like but might have forgotten about, so I started this thread to get to know some of your favorite 90s songs that can hopefully trigger my memories. Here's some of my favorites after thinking really hard:

1) Ocean Avenue - yellowcard
2) Stacy's mom - Fountains of wayne
3) You make me wanna - Blue + a ton of other songs by the band (kinda gay I know but I think their songs are really great!)
4) 1985 - Bowling for soup
5) wannabe - Spice Girls
6) The ketchup song - las ketchup
7) All star - Smash mouth
8) The pokemon theme song
9) There's gotta be more to life - Stacie orrico
10) Try - Nelly Furtado
11) Breathe - Michelle Branch
12) Where is the love - Black eyed peas
13) feeling this - Blink 182
14) year 3000 - Busted
15) addicted - Simple plan
16) hero - enrique iglesias
17) Shiver -  Natalie Imbruliga
18) Last thing on my mind - Ronan Keating ft LeAnn Rimes
19) 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins
20) Jenny from the block - Jennifer Lopez
edit: I think some of the songs are actually from early 2000s so I guess those are allowed too.

Surprised to see Nirvana haven't been mentioned. When 90s music comes to mind, they are always the first group I think of. Also this thread needs more Pavement.

right now im really into Aint No Fun (If the Hommies Cant Have None) by Nate, Snoop, Kurupt and Warren G.  there was a time in my life where i listened to that song often and i went back to it after the news of Nate Dogg's death.  However, my absolute favourite song from the 90's is Old School by 2Pac.  it's a really great song.  Pac talks about rappers from the past and it has a great feel to it.  he recorded it before he signed to Death Row so it feels more pure and less mainstream (im saying that cause all he talked about when he was in Death Row was sex, money and cars.)

Stacy's mom isn't from the 90s it's from 2003 and didn't really become a hit until 2004. 2004 isn't really early 2000s so you might as well change this whole thread!

no I dunno, I honestly could not come up with lists of songs I listened to because of a shitty memory but I'm pretty sure most of it was hiphop. I know these 3 albums got the most play:

Anything made by Nirvana or Neutral Milk Hotel during the decade. Oh, I really like Daft Punk's Homework as well. Shit, there was a lot of good music in the 90s.

I think this is from the 90's, it's nostalgia inducing at least.
