Our house and cars. Gaming related, I bought my first plasma just over 10 years ago. It cost a fortune at the time, and still works like a dream.

My house's listing price was $437,000. I don't remember how much we brought them down buy i'd say we payed over $400,000 for it.

Our house for $150,000, a car for $16,000, and a Falcon NW computer for about 3k

Also a college and post grad education for about 300k

Still paying that off.

College for about $200,000 when all is said and done (though, tons of that was in scholarships--like at least over half). I paid for a chunk of it myself through saving and working and using loans (around 51k before interest) for the rest. Hard to say what the final price will be.

Supplies for school was probably somewhere in the 1000s of dollars as well, not considering laptop and software actually.

Furniture and shit for refurnishing my apartment soon will probably be fairly pricey as well.

Fuck, it's a miracle I'm not totally broke.

My newest guitar was 700 bucks. Pretty 'spensive for a guy in high school. 

$30 000 for two years of college. If you mean a physical object, then probably my flatscreen. I recall it being something like $1500-$1800 at the time. Probably my Van would be a close second at like $1200.

2005 Mazda RX8: $32000. College came close, but thankfully I graduated in 2005, just before prices skyrocketed.

I won't count my house since my wife actually bought it before we got married. I'm paying the mortgage on it, but I didn't buy it.

Probably my tuition, but that's a boring answer.

I guess it's my stereo at around 3000$ but it's a lot of separate components that I bought a while apart from each other, so I don't know if that counts.

Surprised at how many people have paid off their houses. The most expensive I've paid for is my car, which was about 30K, got 1 other that would be 2nd most expensive. After that it's all whatever.

My TV. It cost me roughly $1500. This was at the time when LCD's wasn't really a household thing yet.

Never bought a home (woo rental apts) or a vehicle so it's a big fat keyboard from Kurzweil music instruments for a grand that's my top.

Putting down 20+% sucks up front. In the long run, you save tons though.

But going from 50k in the bank to under 5k over night makes closing a lil scary when you're not 100% sure how much the closing costs are going to be.

Currently my car. Paid just under $10,000 cash. Had to use cash to get the dirty car salesman to come down from the original price. But, I'll hopefully be buying some property outside of Austin soon, so that will definitely be WAY more than my car.

Wife's ring - $3,000, Guitar Equipment (several guitars, Mesa Boogie amps and cabs) - $10,000, Car - $17,000, College Education - $40,000 (still paying this off...), and finally my house $180,000 (I'll be paying this for awhile).  
 
I remember when I was a kid though, spending $80 for Final Fantasy III SNES (VI) and $90 for Chrono Trigger seemed like a millionaire's purchase. 

I haven't bought anything too expensive, I like to save money for some more frequent enjoyment. I guess my stereo is the most expensive, cost me about $2200.

Would probably be school if added all up, and even if not one semester would still be my biggest expenditure.

My new bed. ~$2000. I just got it last weekend after moving into my first solo apartment. So comfortable. My dad and grandma paid my way through college, and my parents bought me my car, so I haven't made any other absurd purchases. I don't usually buy terribly expensive things, but I figured I spend enough of my life sleeping to make the bed worth it. I also don't have any other furniture yet.

I include my HDTV in that (it's used purely as a computer monitor) even though I got it much earlier beforehand. But I couldn't afford the system any other way. Altogether, around $1600.

Otherwise, my PC (tower only) cost ~$1100. So that.
