I love my Golden retriever, Weatherby, but I am just a sucker for bully dogs, especially staffordshire pits, and american bulldogs. And frenchies and english bulldogs. They're just so cute.
On a slightly less cute note, if you're looking for some taxible donations this year, consider donating to an animal rescue.
Well, we had a Golden Retriever many years ago (about 20). She was by far the most gentle dog we ever had. My dad didn't want a dog anymore, so we decided to take her in. Now, we had about 5 cats at that point so we were a bit nervous about bringing a big dog in. Within 2 weeks all 4 kittens slept on top of her and the adult cat slept beside her. They were the best of friends. One time, 2 of the cats disappeared, so we took the dog out to look for them. Suddenly one of the cats showed up, jumped on top of her and just clung to her the rest of the night. Another time, she was whimpering and we didn't know what was wrong. Turned out that she had to go pee, but 2 of the cats slept on her. She absolutely refused to get up until we removed them, and then she almost flew up and ran out to pee. Unfortunately we had to have her put down because she had breast cancer.
I like Japanese Akitas. They're great guard dogs and really loyal; plus, in history, motherfuckers were used to hunt bears!
Czech Wolfdog or Greyhound.
Both are awesome, had a Czech pup, then he got taken away(illegal, i didn't check) And I used to beed greyhounds, most I had was 7 at one time, and they are fucking awesome, and gentle as anything.
Before then they weren't recognized by Defra, genetic engineered wolf hybrids tend to have a reputation for ripping small childrens throats out.
BOXERS, They're cool dogs,dawg!
Pugs and chows, but I'm slightly biased. My first dog was a chow, and I'm currently the proud owner of two pugs.
