I know one half is for Destructoid. But the other half?

Giant Bomb Reference?
Could be. I don't know what else it could be a reference to. The Destructoid is fairly obvious, so the chances that the other is a reference too, seems likely.
I think the destructoid one is so over obvious that the other one not being so is making me think it's not a GB reference.
Most likely. Aside from Gamebomb, I can't think of any other game websites with bomb in the name that it would refer to other than Giant Bomb.
I think that it's extremely obvious. The bomb logo is right there, albeit stylized to fit into the game.
- Bomb with eyes: check
- Fuse: check
- Sparky thing at the end of the fuse: check
- "La Bomba" could only me more obvious if it were "La Bomba Giganta"
All of that on its own would be pretty compelling, but combined with the fact that it's on a poster that is obviously Mr. Destructiod (is that what they call him?) and I don't see how there could be any doubt.
gamebomb reference
This is the only reasonable explanation.
All the other references are very direct and not subtle at all. I doubt this has anything to do with the site.

Yeah, I'm with you. Sure, the Destructoid wrestler is blatantly the Destructoid logo compared to the slightly more generic Bomb wrestler, but Giant Bomb's logo is kind of a generic cartoon bomb and doesn't have the distinct robot design and colour palette that Destructoid has. Or at least, if they made "La Bomba" as happy looking as the GB logo, it would look stupid because wrestler masks aren't that happy or zany.
I agree that "La Bomba Giganta" would have been more direct, but it could be that they just wanted the wrestlers to have simple "The [blank]" names. It's no more obscure than Buckner & Garcia's "Found Me The Bomb" (it's still super weird, awesome, and bittersweet that that song exists).
Can we all agree that would be the entrance song for "La Bomba"?

I'm not sure if you're joking but the Giant Bomb logo isn't very original.
Ya damn right it is.
He has snakes for chest hair. That's a clear reference to Vinny.
I think that could be a more obscure reference to one of the names suggested for the site before its existence. Remember snakesnakesnake.com, people?
Theres an article on Kotaku that lists a lot, if not all, the references in the game next to the source.

If that really is the reference, then this referencer is a god amongst men.
You'd think they would go for Luchadeer if it was.
That'd be a little on the nose, don't you think?
@truthtellah: Most of them are pretty on the nose as it is. Luchadeer was made for this game. He lives it every day.
@daveyo520: If he was going to be a reference, he should just be an unlockable character.
Giant Bomb-collaborated DLC maybe? :D
@truthtellah: Let's start a kickstarter.
@truthtellah: Let's start a kickstarter.
Before today, I would have said that would be a blatant waste of people's money.
But now I'm just like, "Screw it, let's do this."
@truthtellah: Maybe just a stretch goal after Drake gets too many Diet Cokes.
@daveyo520: Sometimes you tell an artist who isn't a huge GB fan like yourself to make something, they sometimes get it a bit off :p
Collusion!
@posh: That would have awesome to see Luchadeer in the game.
