Are you getting the Game only, and using Rockband periphals, or use just the guitar.

Or are you getting the Solo Guitar pack, for the new guitar?

    Or the full band set?

My birthday is the week before, so i'll be getting the full band set :)

I'm just buying the game, and using Rock Band peripherals.  Too expensive to have to shell out for a drum set every year.

I'm getting the full kit. I want to officially retire my faulty Les Paul, and the new drums look really good.

I really hope I don't have to buy another full kit next year, though. $190 is a lot of cash.

Full kit, as the wii Rock Band compatibility both way is apparently *BEEP* and fries (and already have a GH controller)

I might get the guitar, since it is going to be good quality. I'm definitely not going to get the drums, my rock band drums are fine.

just the game, I'm curious how the drums will work though, since Rock Band drums only have 4 buttons, and GH drums have 5. hmmm

Game and guitar. My LP's green button dies a LOT because of that goddamn detachable neck...I've found ways around it but it still happens sometimes and it'd be nice to have a fully reliable GH controller (X-Plorer is dead too). My RB drums still work fine and I've got the silencers for them so I couldn't be happier with those. I'm curious to see how the game "adapts" to different kits though.

I'll just be getting the game and just playing it with the guitar from GHII then getting the Rock Band 2 stuff when it comes out here.

Game only here. I just bought the wireless RB2 drums recently, so there's no way in hell I'm shelling out $190 for a drum set that would be awkward to use with anything other than Guitar Hero: World Tour (and I'm damn sure don't need another mic). I like the look of the new guitar, and the sliding feature seems interesting, but I'm not sure I'd actually make use of it...

I got just the game. I am using my RB1 gear and its working just fine. I might get the new guitar later so I can go back and get GH2/3 for the 360.

I bought the Wii disc only when it came out and I am loving it.  I only really wanted more songs to play, and the Mii Freestyle and free drum mode with the Wii remotes are pretty fun.  I know I'm not getting the other instruments but 49.99 for a lot better tracklist than GH3 plus the Wii exclusive modes sound like a great deal to me.

I finally got to play the demo up at Wal-Mart last night while picking up Fallout 3...

...and after playing "Santeria" and "Everlong"...

...I'm left very unimpressed.  The guitar felt weird...

    can someone clear this up,
in australia at least the full band pack seems only to have  the guitar, drums, and microphone,
doesnt the game require 2 guitars for a bass player as well?
guess ill have to use my gh3 controllers
