I was thinking about buying Halo ODST  but my friends told me that it was just halo 3 with a new  6 hour story line and for me i personally did not like halo 3 story mode i found it to be boring.

I might when it comes down in price. not for the story but Firefight. Played it at a mates it is both tight and sweet.

If it's ever $30 or so, then sure.  Otherwise, seems like a piece of crap.

I have ODST and enjoyed playing it.

As someone who doesn't have much money and is more interested in other games, probably not.

Firefight with matchmaking would have been instant success but they didn't do that so the value is rather lower, I really enjoyed the campaign more than Halo 3's same length and if you don't own Halo 3 than the multiplayer disc makes it well worth it.

I renting it for gamefly, then returning it some months later.

no, i don't plan on to. it just seems like a waste of $60. the day the game released a friend on my friend's list already had half of the achievements. i kind of said this game probably isn't worth it.

I wasn't going to get it, but that firefight mode sure makes it tempting. I played it at my local best buy and was kinda blown away by the epic amount of action that can occur during firefight.

I haven't bothered to buy it yet.  I was thinking about getting Halo Wars since I haven't got that either & it ought to be cheaper now.

Hell no. I bought Halo 3 for virtually nothing and I still felt ripped off. So god damn boring.

Nah, I'm skipping on this for several reasons:
1. It won't be much different than Halo 3. It sucked balls; no gore, dismemberment and lacked a variety of weapons. Didn't have that "gritty" feel to it. e.g, the terrain and characters feel and look too clean and holy-like.
2. Too expensive.
3. Still on Microsoft's payroll.
4. No longer own a 360.
