More Halo, Pretty Fun
Halo cannot continue to just be dumb shit that doesn't progress, as much as I'd like it to. Halo 5 has to continue on the Halo 4 tradition of a story, one that I... frankly don't give a shit about because it's Halo, but whatever. So Halo 5 is a lot of fun. It's dumb, it controls fantastically and if I have an hour to just blow through a mission, I will. The graphics are fantastic, the frame-rate in general is great, the soundtrack works but most importantly, it just plays great... and to me, that's Halo's greatest strength. I don't care about dumb acting, I don't care about these characters or their development, I care that shooting people in the fucking face feels good... and it really does.
Where Halo goes from here I dunno man, but I think this one is probably my end. The story I'm not with and I think after this one I'm kinda burned out on Halo, however I have taken a rather relaxed mindset in which ones I play so for people who have played through the whole series may already be burnt out. But if you have an Xbox One and a cheap way to play this, maybe pre-used or something, this game is great fun but a reminder of just how burned out Halo as a series is.
