Hitman: Absolution No Longer a Rumor
My thoughts exactly. That usually means they've "streamlined" it to the point where it's unrecognizable from its predecessors. I truly love and loathe this generation of gaming. There's much less room for quality games that lean towards the niche spectrum (not that Hitman didn't have it's faults). I hope the next Hitman title isn't the equivalent of what Splinter Cell: Conviction is to that series.
We'll see, as it's difficult to to tell how the game will turn out based on one quote. I suppose it's just the realist, erm, I mean cynic in me talking.

"Indeed, of course there is a slight, tinny possibility of the changes being good, imagine we'll get huge environments and carry out assassinations seamlessly in it, instead of having several separate missions carried out in small maps, but with all the stealth aspects intact, that is what I hoped Assassins Creed to be when they first announced it.
I highly doubt it though, it'll probably be a more action focused Hitman game period, complete with cover mechanics.....
It's always interesting to see what changes in each Hitman release. For all its faults, Blood Money had some really memorable set pieces. Remember the party in the high rise, with the sunset-lit confetti room and the dreamy sounds of the terrible singer coming from the next room? That was so good.
I've waited a long time for this. I'm certain my rising anticipation ever since Blood Money will cause me to be disappointed in the next game, but I'll still be happy when it comes out.
Thanks for the update, Klepek!
" Next step: Freedom Fighters 2. "For sure. Still pumped about a new Hitman game though.
So happy. Can't wait to see what is up with this. Considering Bloodmoney had one of the most bad-ass endings ever I'm excited to see where they take this. I mean what is more bad-ass then 47 getting up at his own damn funeral and murdering everyone in sight?
I've been playing Hitman since Codename 47 so I'm definitely interested in this. Shit, now i want to play Blood Money, oh well, so much for Oblivion.
