@dudeglove: It took me a long time to find her as well so I didn't hear all her dialogue but I'm curious if they wrote in a small narrative reason as to why she has a military escort, she's like a grandma on vacation why the guards?

It's somehow connected to the school headmaster character I think. I only caught the tail end of the conversation but it sounded like the soldiers were trying to find the headmaster (they mentioned something like he taught them well etc.) but they find the lady instead (also note, one of the scenes from the briefing is of the headmaster's hat on the ground...that's what led me there in the first place).

I think the implication is that she has killed the headmaster. Unfortunately I wasn't in the right disguise to get up to the roof when the soldiers meet her so I don't know what was said up there / why they start following her around, but I'm guessing she lied to them and they just get dragged along with her thinking she'll take them to the headmaster?

Angel of Death was my first elusive target. On top of that I had only completed Marakesh once so I didn't really have a good sense of the map or it's secrets. Lo and behold I actually got it done albeit in a very sloppy manner. I hadn't even seen the Giant Bomb staff's attempt on UPF until way after the fact.

I was walking back and forth through the map at first without any good sense of where to look or set up a hit. Finally saw her with the four guard escort and thought to myself "This is impossible, I don't know what the hell I'm doing." So I persisted in tailing her through the market. At one point her head enforcer got suspicious of me but I managed to get out of sight. And for whatever reason the rest of her escort was gone save for her enforcer and they continued on their route. They were strolling through a fairly populated hall of civilians so I had my "fuck it" moment of clarity and just went for the kill.

Lethal injected the enforcer from behind which only the civilians saw me do so it would take a moment for them to find someone to report me. So I square myself up behind the old lady as she turns to look at her dead guard, whip out the silenced pistol, shot an additional guard dead that was just coming onto the scene so he couldn't attack me and shot the Angel of Death in the head right after. A pretty sizable group of people saw me do this but I was clear of most any other guards in the level so I got to the exit with little difficulty. I'm no silent assassin or anything but I got the job done and in a very janky Hitman kind of way.

I love Marekesh so I was excited for this one. One of my favorite ways to beat that map is using only a sniper, so I am very familiar with all the roof's and where they can see.

I put a silent sniper in the alley-way drop point, took a guards uniform as a disguise and went to the roof top that overlooks the hukkah bar. That roof in particular has a woman on a cellphone and a guard, so I knocked both of them out. Then I just waited on that roof to find the target. She walked through the court yard facing me, I put a bullet in her head, and then slipped out the gate exit that's directly behind the building I was on.

This was a really hard SA Elusive for me. So hard that I couldn't figure out a good way to do it and ended up accidentally killing one of her escorts after shooting a scooter. I spent 3 days formulating a plan and I still mucked it up.

Marakesh is not a fun map for silent assassin runs. There are so many witnesses and any amount of coin flips can pull 3 different people every time. It really didn't help that the main escort always called in somebody else to check out guns left around or suspicious sounds.

If this was in another map I'd love it.

I stayed on the roof adjacent the Cafe just looking out for her, I noticed she was walking well in front of her guards (2-3m) so I simply made the cafe sign fall on her head causing an accident, got full SA while barely even moving 10m.

@burncoat: As far as I know there was only one way to do SA which is in the very start of the contract. Davis is alone for a few moments on the roof before the soldiers find her. Getting up there without getting seen, that's a whole other problem since they have observant soldiers at the front and the drain pipe you can climb to get up there at the back.

I spent a day trying out different soldier uniforms to get up there and trying to trick the AI to look the wrong way by bumping into them and running. I managed to get up there using the drainpipe by waiting out the soldiers out back (they have an obnoxiously long conversation) but got seen when I finally killed Davis by using the Fiber Wire.

I had initially considered your plan for a scooter explosion after following her around for a few cycles. But I was really concerned about collateral damage.

I don't know why I got my hopes up, but I was hoping that Davis would be on her own trying to kill someone she's after that you could intercept or use a disguise to turn the tables on her. I was really bummed to find she had a massive soldier escort for some reason. I never caught a reason why they're protecting her. I had also hoped that she would find an excuse to try and kill the captain as a limited opportunity but... ehhh.

@sarumarine: Yeah I tried that route multiple times, restarting when I was spotted or I pulled the wrong person, and it never meshed with me. I wanted to go that route because scooter, despite being my plan A, wasn't looking too great considering how many dumb npcs wander around them in her route.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person who thought she'd be actively going around trying to kill people. I was worried that the biggest opponent I had to an SA run was another person being killed. It goes back to that one Elusive Target where the opening cutscene mentioned a possible time limit, or the mission with both a target and a courier and the video claimed you could follow either to the location of the diamonds, despite the mission requiring you to shadow the courier the entire time. There's a serious disconnect between what the briefing videos say and what is actually happening in the missions. It almost feels like the videos were done first as a concept or launching off platform and the rest was made up and tweaked afterwards.

@sarumarine: I had thought that her aim was to kill the "headmaster" everyone was talking about. There was an NPC conversation about how the target was spending time with him at the rooftops (I'm guessing this is where she starts off). But if you go upstairs there won't be anyone else.

Anyways, there's absolutely more than one way to get SA. I got mine because the game glitched and only spawned two bodyguards instead of the usual four. I was able to lure each soldier individually by one of the dumpsters next to the lamp store. Eventually I was able to lure the target herself and stuck a syringe into her neck and casually walked away.

yeah, got her with the jaeger from the west rooftops. I tailed her for a while but didn't see much of another way, still felt like a badass even with only 3 stars. This ends a bit of a drought for me (botched the last one, missed the previous 2)

Got a guard costume, hid his body, ran into her and her guards, tailed her for five minutes until she and her guards walked down a lane, threw a screwdriver at her head and ran away to freedom.

I'm sharing this because I got a Silent Assassin on this mission in a hilarious way.

After tailing her for a good 45 minutes (and realizing she never ate anything, so poison was a no-go), I steal a Handyman uniform and cause an oil leak in a scooter next to her route. I'm not quite sure where to go with this, so I steal a guard uniform, pick up my sniper rifle, and head up for the rooftops. Once I realize I can't get a clear shot at her from that rooftop while standing still, I set up a Propane Tank next to the scooter and aim for that instead.

I end up blowing her up by sniping the propane tank right in front of her guards.

Surprisingly, not only do I avoid a Non-Target Killed penalty, but I get the No Bodies Found bonus as well, even though I vaporized her right in front of her guards.

Ive killed the last two elusives by throwing a proximity explosive duck at them in full view of the guards and then walking away when it blows up.

It works too well, i didn't even trigger a combat alert when i did it even though it was blatant.

Wait, for real? She had 2 escorts for me as well. I would have had no chance with the 4, because she was alone with the colonel in the lantern alley thing and I just quickly shot him and then her. Ran into the crowd and then exited right where you originally start the mission.

Not clean but I just care about completing these things.

She'll always have the colonel by himself if she is inside the lamp store. For some reason the other guards walk back towards the open market area. If you take out the colonel (as I did by luring him away) then she won't stay at the lamp store for subsequent returns.

I finished this by following her until she stopped at one of the shops in the starting area. I then threw the proximity rubber duck in there and killed her. I did kill some of her guards but I don't go into these trying to get SA or anything like that. I almost failed it the first time I tried it but I was able to restart it and completed on the second try.

Got her! It took me 40 minutes, but I climbed up to a vantage point and watch the market for her with the Jaeger rifle. That was the closest I've felt to being a real assassin in this game.

No disguise, ninjastar to the head in the middle of the marketplace while she was surrounded by soldiers, only 2 civilians saw me do it, zigzagged through a crowd toward the exit. It was amazing.

    @zolroyce i have high hopes...

Hah, you posted that right in the middle of me editing my footage, sadly you may have to temper those hopes a little bit, though high is what I was going for.

    Loading Video...

Soooooo this is the third time I've messed up on this map, and by my count it's the third target on this map, so basically 0/3 for me haha. I mean I still did get her, but something happened, there is a woman that ran up to the pile of explosives just as I went to set them off, maybe she bumped something, maybe it's just this game, whoknows. Hope people enjoy it anyways though. Usually my videos involve a lot of bodies, obviously I cut it down dramatically for this as height was the goal. Was hoping I wouldn't need to insert test footage again, you win again HITMAN!

I hope we get Sapienza next.

It was sorta cheating since I saw Brad and even Danny attempt this beforehand so I knew where she would be, but I got to re-live a classic Hitman moment of taking someone out from long range with a sniper rifle. Worked like a charm.

I bought the full season during PSN's Black Friday sale and played this last night as blind as possible (ie I did the tutorial missions then loaded it up having never even been to the map before). It was really tense trying to explore a completely unfamiliar map without having any idea where this lady could be, especially after drawing some unwanted attention.

Finally got her but I had to kill so many soldiers (whoops) I only got like 1500 experience by the end. A+ would kill again but I guess I can't.

This was the first elusive target I was able to join in on since I just got the game. I ended up going in to it without watching it on UPF first and really had a lot of fun. It took me a while as I followed her for a long time to figure out where she goes.

I ended up shooting her from a roof with the silenced pistol in a spot where she stops at over and over.

This made me really wish I had just bought the game sooner so I could have tried the others too.

Looks like they released news about the next Elusive Target. This one seems like a tricky one because of the fail conditions:

Important Note: Elusive Target 16 has two fail conditions.

    - Do not harm, injure or subdue Keith Keeble

    - Do not harm, injure or subdue Katherine Feller

These additional conditions are clearly pointed out in the briefing video.

If either of these characters is harmed, injured or subdued, the contract will be failed, permanently. Approach with caution.

I assume do not harm means you can't even subdue/pacify them and I doubt they're gonna leave this "guru" by himself. At least we have seven days to plan.

Easiest to SA Elusive yet, the game basically sets up a free accident kill for you. All the routes line up near perfectly when you start at the correct location and clear out the area required.

I sniped the new target from the ICA safehouse. I had no idea where he was going to be but I had a hunch, so I waited and after 10 minutes saw his hat enter the room. I felt quite good about a pretty flawless assassination, the last one wasn't anything like that. Especially since I didn't even track him, I just sat and waited, and I could barely see him from across the map.

Fucked up my chance to get SA on The Guru. Infiltrated the meeting, had him completely alone. Could have injected him with some emetic poison if I had replanned the mission once more, Silent Assassin kill in the bathroom. But I decided this would be too risky as the enforcer guard was hanging out in the meeting room, and I was paranoid about getting spotted. Overthinking was my mistake. So, I fiber-wired The Guru, but that woman who patrols between the two rooms entered just before I could dump him and saw me.

HOWEVER, as a result of this, I got to have a harrowing escape from the building and level, barely avoiding gunfire. A perfect example of sometimes attacking everyone in the vicinity is a good idea and sometimes it is NOT. I should be happy with such an exciting getaway success, but the perfectionist in me is crying.

I bumbled my way into successfully completing it. Couldn't figure out how to get in through the front with the guards, knocked out a cook so I could get in through another entrance, murdered an enforcer but got spotted, murdered a few more people, lock picked the door to the office, waited until the enforcer at the door walked out for some reason, walked in and shot him in the back of the head while other people were facing the opposite direction, and ran the fuck out.

I got my first SA on this one. Climbed up the pipe directly to the third floor, snuck up to the roof area, cleared out the hippie, then the guard over the railing and then the two guards in the third floor room with the surveillance cameras. Then went down to the room with the guru to check the exact placement of that chandelier... and then dropped it perfectly on guru as he walked underneath. Piece of cake.

Can't wait for the next target as that will give me 10 successes. They are super easy if you just snipe from distance so I have yet to fail one but I missed a bunch in the beginning. Glad I got my SA out of the way though.

Not too bad, I also climbed up the pipe behind the building but I jumped into the bathroom and waited for the target to arrive. I then turned on the radio hoping to entice him in there but a guard came instead. I jumped out of the window before being seen and once the guard left I tried it again but this time the mark you can't harm came in so it was back out the window to wait some more. Third time was the charm as the Guru decided to check out the noisy radio and came into the bathroom. I was hiding behind the door hoping to close it before he saw me but he turned around a bit too fast and spotted me. Nobody else did though so a quick melee kill and back out the window getting almost all the bonus points except for that one spotting at the end.

I really messed this one up because I knocked out the family lawyer with a lead pipe (which apparently is a leathal takedown). Does anyone know wether you are allowed to subdue the lawyer or her client? I know that it said something about not harming them in the intro video but I just wasn't sure what that entailed.

I failed this one with almost surgical precision, I immediately climbed up the pipe behind the shop to the third level, lured the lawyer in, choked her, and failed the mission. The whole thing probably took 90 seconds. I just completely forgot about the rule that you can't injure them

I failed this because the game crashed after I'd killed the target, which is the single most aggravating thing I've had happen in a game in years. Hitman is still one of, maybe the, best games of the year, but its general technically unreliability is really off-putting and undermines the appeal of stuff like elusive targets.

Well I fucked that one up. Got impatient after getting spotted a few times. Got a clean kill with a pistol but couldn't escape to the boat. I would've had a clear route to the underground exit but I made a wrong turn in the heat of the moment.

I stuck a remote bomb underneath his table when he went to the kitchen, then blew it up when he came back. Given how short his route is, I wasn't really sure how to do it any more elegantly than that.

Did pretty much the exact same thing.

Waited for him to stop and chat in the kitchen, was able to hide behind some kitchen cabinets and have only him in line of sight of me, so I was able to headshot then dart off through the buffet area. Wasn't elegant but since he showed up then I decided to take it. Pretty much walked to the boat after I was outside the building. No one in the kitchen nor his bodyguard cared about my security uniform so I probably shoulda followed him around and looked for a more stealthy opportunity.

How many more elusive targets are they planning? Might affect my decision to buy the game.

It's an interesting question because if they do a season 2 they may just keep going? And even be in Season 1 maps in Season 2's time. They could use the old levels too then I believe how they are building the game.

I also don't think they've done any elusive targets for the last two maps? I missed a few of them but I don't think they have been on those maps yet, which would be a good sign maybe to me there is quite a bit more of them coming. It makes sense to put quite a few in Paris because it's the starter pack but at this point I would love to see Hokkaido more (which is my favorite map).

Never played that map before, went to the bedroom, found a letter opener, found him being escorted to the kitchen, letter opener to the neck, ran out the back and around to the dock and sped away. Took maybe 4 minutes ajd never changed costume once.
