The last handful of Mario Party games weren't anything great, or the last Bomberman... but I'd still love to see those franchises continue in hopes of churning out something good.

Here's to all there franchises potentially finding a home, and more important to those that lost there jobs landing on there feet.

Aww. That's a serious blow to my childhood memories. Loved the original three Mario Parties. Sure, the Japanese wing will be around but Hudson as we know it is over. I wish the US employees the best of luck.

" Goddamn indie developers! All they care about is money!! >=(    Lack of innovation was definitely the killer here. People love bomberman but they just butchered it and rehashed old shit. Did Konami aquire the licenses for the games in the takeover? Or does the Japanese branch own those as well? Hopefully either way we can see something done with bomberman in the same vien as Pacman recently. "
Remember the last time Bomberman had a massive overhaul (Act Zero)? It was a fucking disaster, despite any good intentions. No wonder why they stuck to the basics.

    Sad news...

    I... Guess?

I mean, I really loved Bomberman and stuff back in the N64/Gamecube days, but since then it hasn't been super wonderful. So it's definitely sad but.... I'm not crushed....
I think you missed the point dude... A lot of old timers in the industry just lost their jobs! Possibly for good. Like the article... No one plays games that are Japanease in tone anymore.

I had extremely fond memories of Mario Party and Bomberman 64. However at the present time I don't really think its tragic since those were pretty much the last games that I personally enjoyed from Hudson.

@JuggaloAcidman: I personally love Japanese games, but they have to be GOOD games. Saying no one buys Japanese games is a bad excuse, the same as someone one day saying no one buys adventure games. You just have to do interesting things with it

Am sorry to hear about people loosing their jobs.
