That this game does NOT support custom soundtracks on PS3 ?
Mycoldman (Mike Oldman) confirmed this on the game's forums.
Now if you guys that are planning on buying it on PS3 want this option I strongly advise that you guys vote for it:
HERE
Now I'm sure a lot of people would like to listen to their own music while playing this after they finished the campaign.
And since most people are going to be buying it on the PS3 because it support videocapture and upload to youtube (which is not present on the Xbox360 version) I want you guys and gals to make your voice heard on the Just Cause forums about this!
Just Cause 2
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Mar 23, 2010
Rico Rodriguez returns to explore another autocratic island nation in this explosion-laded followup to Just Cause.
Did you know ? (PS3 related! urgent)
That's not urgent at all. A lot of PS3 games don't support custom soundtracks as far as I know and yes, online petitions have done nothing at all.
LOL that" @nanikore said:
" Well, that's a serious poll with answers such as "Haha PS3 Sucks, Xbox 360 FTW". Also, since when have online petitions done jack shit? "lol this "
To answer Nanikore, I added that option to see if xbox360 fanboys are douchebags :P
No no I just thought it'd be funny to see what votes come out of this, now seriously though, for those PS3 owner out there that are planning on buying this on that specific console whether it would be because of the video capture option or not please vote for it.
It might do something OK ???
@ nanikore : well the community caused the devs of Just Cause to hide the red flashes in the game when something breaks! That was a while back, but you can still see it in some videos like the vehicle stunt video documentary where rico attaches one end of the hook to a car and the other to a statue and the statue falls and flashes red upon breaking on the ground. Now that is gone, thanks to the community I thought this might get the same attention, it seems I was wrong, wrooooooong *cartman*
Question: do people actually use custom soundtracks on games other than racing or sports titles? I mean - seriously? Do people play shitty music over Dead Space and stuff? And if so, what's wrong with you?
The developers have teams working for them crafting an audio experience that compliments the game. It blows my mind that people just play music over that.
Whatever, your game, your time, I guess.

"in open world games like just cause or mercs 2 or anything like that it is nice to be able to play your music to fit the chaos you make. those are the only kind of games i do it for.

So no I'm not signing an online petition for useless bullshit
Custom soundtracks! really? who the fuck cares.
On a side note the PS3 version was going to have a exclusive video recording feature, allowing up to 30 seconds of video to be recorded, is this still in it?.

"Dude ye 30 seconds of video that gets kept during play which you can save, but you can also start recording manually up to 10 minutes and upload it straight to youtube and keep it on your HDD ;)
Also, like most of you said, it's a nice additional feature when you're bored of the original score, it does happen you know, it's an open world game and some people want to listen to their own music while roaming around after completing the campaign
