Why is this the FIRST game (to my knowledge) that has the player reacting to bullets realistically? Sure theres games where you cant take many hits, but in those games, knocked down = dead...which really isnt the case. Not saying this game will be hyper realstic, but it is a very cool touch. Lets just hope it doesnt get annoying.
Was pretty excited for the first game, wound up dissapointed....this one looks to deliver.
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Aug 17, 2010
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days makes a notable switch of the titular duo, with James Lynch now taking up the role as lead protagonist over Kane. However the two are still once again forced to endure a hail of gunfire as they find themselves embroiled in Shanghai's criminal underworld.
Kane & Lynch 2 Still Seems Cool
I'm reading a lot of negativity and hatred towards this franchise because of it's history of... well, you know. But you guys are getting this all wrong-- if it wasn't for the first Kane and Lynch there wouldn't be a GiantBomb.com. Think about it.

Gawd, I loved freedom Fighters. Iv'e played it twice, I do not see any reason to go back, but that was a good game.
As for this, I'll be a jerk about it it, in that I will be giving jeff some wieght in what he says about kane and Lynch 2. I didn't like how that origonally all played out, you could tell something wasn't kosher.
So far, so good..
After what happened, I wouldn't give a flying f*** if the game practically blew me away. I'll just go play something else.
... and I'll KEEP coming back to GiantBomb.
... so you're saying we should buy the next game as a way of saving thanks?
Why not just say thanks for causing Giant Bomb... now go f*** yourselves...
I personally really, really enjoyed the first title. I think it's a damn shame that the Jeff/Gamespot debacle really overshadowed a title that was not only trying to do something different with its narrative, but was also a triumph in that regard. I've written many an essay on why Kane & Lynch is one of the best stories in gaming. Yes, the gameplay was utter shit, but to me, it was worth working through to get to that next piece of narrative.
Kane & Lynch 2 is looking to be as unflinchingly bleak as the original. In fact, I'd say it's actually emphasizing the corrupted humanity in the two protagonists (never call them heroes. Ever.), and I'm really glad that the gameplay is looking like it'll be good this time.
Yeah, more Hitman for me would be nice, but what the heck, at least it could be a good game to look forward to. Also, I'm thinking they should upgrade to a new engine, or upgrade their own. I mean, I know it's meant to look lo-fi and youtube-style, but just imagine new Hitman or Kane and Lynch games using something like the cryengine 3. They'd get way more detail and effects and whatnot. :P
