    Oakland Raiders is an American Football team currently playing in the NFL in the AFC West Division. They originally played in the AFL - American Football League entering as the 8th team in 1960. In 1966 the Oakland Raiders joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger.

    The Oakland Raiders moved to Los Angeles in 1982, the Raiders returned to Oakland in 1995.

    The Raiders have 13 members in the pro Football Hall of Fame

    The Oakland Raiders have had 17 head coaches during its Franchise History. The most famous being John Madden.

    Tom Flores, coached from 1979 - 1987, was the NFL's first Hispanic head coach in NFL history an also became the first minority in NFL history to win the Super Bowl twice, Super Bowl XV as Oakland Raiders(became 1st wild-card team in NFL history to win the Superbowl) and Super Bowl XVIII as Los Angeles Raiders

    Art Shell was the second African American head coach in the history of the NFL, he was the first African-American head coach in the NFL's modern era.
