XBLA would've been the only way I would buy this game. Whatever, I was interested in this game but in no way needing to buy it.

I was really looking forward to this. A little less so after Red Dead, then a little more as my appetite for westerns grew.
Whenever I played it on PC, I was thinking about how the game would play better when it was optimized for a console and used a controller instead of awkward-as-hell mouse controls. And yes, I do regret buying it on PC
I had fun with it for awhile. Then Red Dead Redemption came out...
Now that I think about it, they pushed the PSN version back. So it was even closer to RDR.
Have no idea what they were thinking there.
I'm kinda bummed out by this, I really enjoyed the game on the PC but the community is next to non-existent so I was hoping that an XBLA release would have had a decent following if only for a while.
Really not interested in playing the game on the PS3 due to controller issues and the wonderful silence of the PSN service >_<
I can understand why they wouldn't want to bother porting it. It's essentially a slightly differently skinned TF2 and we don't really need to keep pumping out yet more "also ran" FPS games. There are nearly as many of them out this year as there are people actually playing them and you need to find a way to sustain a community around a title (nobody wants to pay to play a game that doesn't have anyone else playing it).
For the most part, I think the most vital thing developers can do when they're at the drawing board is stop and say "let's not" and go do something else.
" I can understand why they wouldn't want to bother porting it. It's essentially a slightly differently skinned TF2Except not half as good or featured. It really is a bummer, I was looking forward to Lead & Gold and almost bought it, but something made me wait. Then I tried the free weekend and went back to other games. It feels like a demo: the basics are there, but you need more of everything.
Just pick it up for the PC in one of the steam sales, its a reasonable game, the server browser is horrible though, some of the ping counts i get are crazy, and i have a good internet connection for this part of the UK (7.5mb down and 1.5mb up)
I can play any other game in my collection and get great ping results, but L&G always tells me that my connection is crap, damn, i usually get picked as host for most matchmaking games in the uk on XBL (especially Gears 2 for some reason)
They are going to lose plenyt of money on that decision. They have the game, all they need is to port it.
Considering how easy it is to port a game from the PC to the 360 or vice versa, it appears their game is sucking hardcore and they want to cut their loses and move on. We should probably thank them for not dumping the trash on XBL.
