    Overview

Marble Blast, sometimes known as MarbleBlast and later known as Marble Blast Gold, is a 3D physics-platformer developed by Monster Studios (along with GarageGames) and digitally published by GarageGames for the PC, Mac, and Linux on November 11, 2002. It also received a retail release by eGames on June 17, 2003 as Marble Blaster.

One of the earliest game releases by both Monster Studios and GarageGames (both formed by members of Dynamix) and an early use of the Torque Game Engine (which is built on the game engine used in Dynamix's Tribes 2), Marble Blast puts players in control of a marble as they use their physics to roll, bounce, and jump from the start platform to the goal platform in 72 zany courses. Along the way, they can collect and use numerous power-ups and must content with numerous hazards.

It later received an extended revision on April 25, 2003, titled Marble Blast Gold. This version adds 28 new advanced levels (for a total of 100) and a new "Gold" type of record times to beat. It was originally sold separately or as a $5 update for owners of the original game. The Gold version was also released for the Xbox on May 5, 2005, through the the Xbox Live Arcade service.

It later received a sequel in 2006, known as Marble Blast Ultra, and members of the studio later worked on the spiritual successor series, known as Marble It Up!
