Also, Bioware is making a huge fuss about how SHEPARD CAN NOW BE GAY AND THE GAY PARTS ARE AWESOME you better be gay because if not you will totally be missing out. GAY. You know what, great, if you want to include gay characters that's fine. You don't really need to make it a huge issue.
What in the fucking hell are you talking about?
Its been mentioned once.
That was pretty funny. But seriously, I do not have great expectations for ME3. I just do not see room for an interesting story or new interesting characters. It seems like we are probably going to be getting more ME2 style gameplay. Given Bioware's recent releases I am not hopefull that this game will go out with a bang. I wish they would just slow down the game to be more like ME1 instead of OMG action giant robot apocalypse!
If you have made up your mind before even playing the game(its not out yet) then Im afraid nobody gives a fuck what you have to say.
The funniest thing about this is that people think OP is joking ... actually, he just wrote some of the stuff that recently leaked. So yeah, this is ME3 unless Bioware changed a whole lot of things.
And I totally agree about the romance shit ... it's getting ridiculous with Bioware appealing to horny teenagers.

His entire message is so incoherent I didn't even notice.
Coming soon to Mass Effect 3. Experience roller-coaster rides like you'd never imagine, and defend the universe from the flocks of eagles that will attempt to fly into your face at 800 miles per hour.if fabio was in ME3 I would probably buy it
Starring: Fabio.
Mass Effect: Flying High coming to a retailer near you.

Is this part of the leak from the early demo?
Some of the story points he references I do recall from the leak. It did not paint a positive picture of where Mass Effect 3 is going, storywise, assuming that the leaked information was up-to-date and reflects what's actually in the game. What it comes down to is that Bioware is apparently ignoring or negating decisions made by the player in the first two games, ala Dragon Age II, and of the endings possible, all of them are apparently multiple kinds of stupid.
That being said, this has been discussed to death, and I can only imagine that the number of "MA$$ EFFECT 3 IS FUCKED!!!1" threads is going to hit critical mass in the coming weeks.
I can't wait for mass effect 3. Mass effect 2 is one of the best games I have played this generation.
I came in expecting a complete troll thread and realized a bunch of the spoiled plot points were in that huge leaked story document.

If these things were true then despite how bad his post is, he would be right. It would be Dragon Age 2 all over again. And despite what a few hardcore Bioware fans claim, that game was abysmal.
The first point (the options getting trivialized) if it happens is sad and disappointing, and I don't believe they will be, as it's one of the strongest points about the ME trilogy. The rest of the complaints are predictable. Truth be said ME1 had the worst faux-heroic ending I'd ever seen, so ME3's probably won't be worse.
@Animasta said:
@Deleth: abysmal is probably too harsh of a word (I'd use mediocre myself, but eh) ME3 sounds terrible though. It'll still get 5 stars here because Brad will review it, obviously
Don't forget the part where he goes back on his opinion for the GOTY discussion saying "it's not that great really", but then it wins anyways. That's my favorite part.
Oh, and these spoilers are 100% legit, assuming what was leaked from that early demo was true in the first place. They could've changed something in the interim, but those are what I read in the document and are the singular reason why I am approaching ME 3 with a healthy dose of cynicism.

No, abysmal is exactly what it was. If Dragon Age 2 wouldn't have been a Bioware title and the successor to Dragon Age Origins, people would've torn it apart. It was a very, very bad game for various reasons. Other games that weren't much worse were rated far lower and got lots of trash talk.
And if just a few of these leak things are going to be true, then the story is going to be bad. I started to fear for Mass Effect 3 when I played DA2 because of the new direction Bioware is taking. Up untill then Bioware was one of my favorite game developers. Then I started to here about stuff like the forced multiplayer if you want one of the "best" endings and now we're most likely going to do as a heroic sacrifice anyway.
I am not, absolutely not happy.
I swear to all things holy, it is as though people have never written anything in their entire damn lives. For any type of fiction you create you HAVE to revise it at LEAST 5 damn times... THE ENTIRE THING. Doesn't matter if it is a 5 page booklet to a million page one, it happens with each and every single one. Same with scripts, amazing how dumb some people are when it comes to this stuff.
I agree with your agreement. As a 17-year old male, it still bugs the fuck out of me when developers try to sex their games up to appeal to the minority of players. The funniest thing about this is that people think OP is joking ... actually, he just wrote some of the stuff that recently leaked. He's the homosexual romantic option in the game.
The dialogue trees about "I can't believe it's not butter!" will melt the hearts of any man.
"Joker gets EDI put into a robot body so he can have sex with her"- I didn't see THAT coming, though they have both been seen spending an inordinate amount of time on the Halodeck, lately.
This was well done, but if it is oportunistic creative trolling, it is pretty unfair to Bioware. Yeah they may lead with their nose, or some other protuberance right into it, but I really know little about ME 3 right now except for the big plot-point. Earth invaded and/or Shepard dumps Miranda for Grunt. Whatever is more important..don't ask.
eh whatever. I still prefer Liara and I honestly liked ME for its combat and not so much the story.
I'll still play it, and you can go rant and protest or something you strange humans do.
OP ranting and raving about an unreleased game? Funny
People thinking he's just trolling and posting hyperbolic story points that sound like a fanfic where Shepard is the most important thing ever? Hilarious...that shit is real...probably.

Wait, was this in OPs post (I didn't read it incase of spoilers etc, I am still sheltered from the leak)? Is this actually going to be in the game? Was this in the leak? Hahaha, I was just planning on buying this game used down the line (because I really can't support how some of the higher ups at BioWare are assholes) but man I will get this on day 1 if this is true, that is fucking comedy right there."Joker gets EDI put into a robot body so he can have sex with her"

I have no problem with developers working romance into their games, but Bioware romance is just too ham-fisted to be taken seriously.
Spoilers, Jesus Christfuck! I know you said spoilers but holy damn, that sounds like endgame shit. I only got a couple bullet points in and promptly started saying, "Shit! Shit! No!" and then scrolled down.
@Hailinel: To be far, they were always hamfisted. In Mass Effect 2 when I was romancing Jack, it went from subtly hinting at something, to the next time Shepard talked to her, "we need to talk about our relationship." Dude, what?

I did warn you twice!
This is a time when confidence needs to be built. This is the opposite.

Oh, I know. I had the opportunity to romance characters in Dragon Age: Origins. And by "romance," I mean shower with gifts until they're willing to have sex.

That's how I romance girls. I buy them dinners and food. Technically, those are gifts!
