The follow-up to the 1998 blockbuster, Metal Gear Solid 2 blends tactical stealth and action. This sequel takes the action to an offshore oil cleanup facility seized by terrorists who are holding the President hostage. It helped sell the PS2, featuring advanced AI, physics and cover mechanics for its time, and one of the first postmodern narratives in gaming.
Sons of Drewberty Tshirt Design
I would purchase this shirt and then answer awkward questions from friends and acquaintances asking me to explain what my shirt means.
Fantastic shirt. I like the offset one.
Also, I think we can all agree that graboids is a far better name than suckoids.
@graboids: I think that if the portraits were in a three quarter view it could make for a nice Mount Rushmore-like composition especially considering what happens in MGS4 but with full face as it is now, symmetry might be a better option.
Also, this evokes Face/Off
@gaff: I'm sorry but does that film's hype text actually fucking say - "It's like looking in a mirror - Only Not"
Holy shit, that's hilarious.
@zleunamme: thanks! The honeycomb patter is just a hexagon made with the polygon tool, then I just made a bunch of them and made the pattern... then I put a white stroke on all of them. The pattern in the background is slightly spherized, but same method only with the hexagons having no fill, just a stroke and a gradient laying behind them all. Hope that made sense/helped!
@graboids: Thanks. I'm trying to find faster and more efficient ways of building vector art. I have tried that method before but the problem I have is that my laptop would slow down rendering stuff. I'm using another way of creating patterns by using swatches. I start with an object it, drag to the swatch menu to create a new swatch. Create a layer as a background, use the polygon tool to create a blank square to cover the art board. Click on the new swatch to fill. The problem that I run into is that I have to fiddle with the size of the original object to fill more white space. I'll will use the technique you said earlier if I'm stuck.
I able to do it with type but not so much with geometric shapes. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Here is an example of what I mention before.
thats cool . i was hoping for tshirt in style of codec art green with black tshirt would be really cool
I absolutely love it. Fan-freakin-tastic.
I'm not a fan of the Sons of part, but as a logo for the whole "Metal Gear Scanlon" series, it's beautiful. I'd probably get a poster of it. Quite something.
I would have thought that Dan would have the General's Beret, but other than that, where's the shop page?
+1 for offset...
I also disagree with whoever said symmetry is aesthetically pleasing. Asymmetry gives art character; symmetry is bland. That's just how I feel....
+1 for the asymmetrical one.
Agreed
Vote for the original, offset one here. The substance cover is offset too. There's too much symmetry in this world.
Killer design, btw. Would definitely buy.
+1 for the asymmetrical one.
Agreed
Yup
You know, I thought I wanted leveled faces but no, just no.
Each side includes (as you are well aware) 2/3-3/4 of its respective nose, so....I Do Not like them lined up. Nope. With that void. Nope.
Offset it must be!
That is an awesome design and I prefer the first image with the heads out of alignment. I think the aligned faces just makes where their faces differ more pronounced so it looks a little odd. The asymmetry though looks intentional and cool.
I would totally buy one but I'm not sure where you stand legally as it's a pretty definite breach of copyright in some ways.
Asymmetrical is far better. The symmetrical one is causing a weird optical allusion making it look like there's something wrong with the faces.
