Kojima makes a comment on Violence (note GTA et al references) and Sex (note DOAX references) driven video games via the ridiculousness which is MGS and people think he's a creep. Way to go in missing the point of the whole MGS Peace Walker ad campaign.

I think you're all giving yourselves too much credit in moralising over a campaign whose context who miss completely. The whole campaign uses other game techniques and callouts hosted in MGS Peace Walker's engine at levels of ridiculousness which are so far all but untapped as a method to convey good humour. The game even includes Assassin's Creed eagle dives into hay, both in the ad campaign and the game proper. You're all missing the point. Moreover I'll bet none of you know what she's saying. I don't either, but somehow, even with a language barrier the humour doesn't fly over my head as it does all of yours in a squadron of Hercules air carriers.

I dunno man, I remember the millions of ass and boob shots of the beauties in MGS4 quite clearly.

@mutha3: All of that is true but none of it applies to the this campaign or this ad because sex always sells and that was a different game altogether, moreover that stuff happened within the game and wasn't often used to sell MGS4. This whole campaign is done with tongue firmly planted in cheek and it reflects a trend in Japan where they are reinventing Western content via hilarious and ridiculous, yet also beautiful Japanese interpretation. This trend is not a new trend but it's become fashionable all over again and Kojima's MGS Peace Walker campaign is part of that current wave.

People taking this waaaaaaaay too seriously ITT.

MGS has always been filled with bizarre sexual humor and situations. They just weren't always obvlous. Like the B&B unit in MGS4 posing for pictures, or being able to see Meryl in her underwear in MGS, or the President of the United States grabbing Raiden by the balls.
