Make it happen, Duders! Don't make me beg. I mean, I would beg if necessary, but can't we just agree it would be an awesome TNT?
Oh, and fuck Starhawk!
Game » consists of 33 releases. Released May 17, 2009
I think the thing to do would be to have Minecraft as a secondary thing that they check up with every once in a while, or have as a secondary/smaller view. But I don't know if they have the ability to do something like that yet in the new office.

Amazing idea. Or if they ever find another fun card game or board game to play this could be a great supplement (though, not cards against humanity again, for the love of...)

Didn't they already confirm this last week? I'm pretty sure they said that they would do both Starhawk and Minecraft, and since they seem to enjoy the latter, I'm sure it is a given..
I'm quite doubtful they will spend a large amount of time on Minecraft. I'm pretty sure they were joking about it last week.
I really want this to happen. A Minecraft TNT sounds infinitely more interesting than watching a third person shooter deathmatch.
Come on! The possibilities for shenanigans are endless! You can show another shooter any old week! Let's make Minecraft happen!
Even though I do not own a PS3, I would very much like to see Starhawk, but I would love to see Minecraft as well. Why not both?
EDIT: We need to get this post to the staff somehow so they understand that a lot of people would really like to see Minecraft on TNT.

Jeff and Brad are talking about it on Twitter! Keep this thread going and send them messages on Twitter. This is totally on there radar, but we've got to push for it!
Since Starhawk is a PS3 game, it's not like anyone would show up for the TNT anyway. Maybe a 50/50 thing? I think our kind and wonderful Giant Bomb server owner should back up the world before the start of TNT and end the show by blowing up everything.
So, are we asking for the 360 version or the PC version? If it's the PC version then I'm totally down since it'll give me a reason to start it up again after half a year.
@BrockNRolla: Can you link me their twitter accounts? I haven't used the service before, but I'll be willing to start to get this moving.
Something has gone terribly wrong if this isn't the TNT.
I think it would be hilarious though if they played the PC version.

@insane_shadowblade85: I would prefer PC but the XBox port being this weeks XBLA release...
If they're seriously considering this then we have to tell them to play the PC version! Or both so they can switch back and forth between the versions.

Don't start that. Let's focus on the 360 and leave it at that.
I hope it happens, seems like it could be hilariously fun to watch, especially after seeing Jeff's pyromania.
TNT to me is about letting the community play with the GB crew.
with Starhawk, you can get a bunch of people playing competitively and having fun.
With Minecraft, you get a few dudes just walking around and stacking blocks for an hour and a half. There's no "Throwdown"
What you want is a longer QL. Howbout you ask for that instead?
Also, "fuck Starhawk!"? Seriously? Grow up.
@ccampb89: I don't know how to direct you to general pages on twitter, so I'll just copy and paste the comments.
Jeff Gerstmann "There seems to be a growing contingent of people who want us to do Minecraft for TNT instead of Starhawk."
Brad Shoemaker "@jeffgerstmannMy castle is pretty into that idea."

But...but...*Flops to the ground like a toddler and sighs*
Okay ._.
Should have a fortress wars/source forts-esque match. Tricky, Jeff, Brad & Ryan get 15 (or some other arbitrary time) minutes to build a fort, we watch split-screen until the time limit with Vinny providing some Dead Island TNT style wizardry.
Then they fight to the death by destroying each others bases. I take Jeff and his mighty fire usage.
(Not sure if this is possible because I haven't a fucking clue about the inner workings of Minecraft but whatever)...

Just be careful, Jeff might set your server on fire. =P
YES.
In a sentence, exactly why we want this to happen.

I agree. While I admit that the PC version is superior, matchmaking would be a hell of a lot easier on XBLA. Besides, didn't they usually get Will and Norm to set up servers for TNT in the past?

I can't decide if this sounds really boring or really interesting. Do we want to watch a couple of guys shoot the shit while breaking and stacking virtual legos for an hour and a half?
Do I really want to watch people blow shit up for an hour an a half?
I've no interest in watching a long multiplayer deathmatch. Any given week, some game comes out with that sort of scenario. Minecraft would be something unique.

With Starhawk, you get an hour and a half people going pew pew pew. With Minecraft, you get a huge sandbox world where they can do whatever they want, have competitions between teams, try to grief each other, etc and having fun.
See? I can play the oversimplification game too. But I shouldn't need to tell you this, because you're such a mature person, telling others to grow up. Right?

Leave the poor guy alone! He just wanted to feel important!
