I'm talking about Campaign on Veteran. It took me 6:48 Hrs to beat the game on Hardened without Aim Assist(I turned it off so that i can get some MP practice without playing MP) I've play for another our to get side achievements. I've now finished MW2 on Veteran in 8 hours with aim assist, which is simply much shorter and easier than COD4. I was 12 hrs into COD4 campaign on Veteran before giving up on the Gillie Mission. Do you guys feel like it has been softened a bit too much? Cuz COD4 Veteran was unfair, MW2 Veteran is too fair. IW needs to find the sweet spot.

MW2 feels like childplay
Cool story bro. Thanks for the heads up. I was reading about mass flooding near my home town, but this is far more important.
COD4 veteran wasn't as hard as people are making out.
A few select missions took an extra bit of time getting used to the layout etc.
The fact that you gave up tells me that you probably shouldn't have been playing COD4 on veteran to begin with.

"I respectfully disagree with that first statement. Minus No fighting in the war room, then ok, you make a fair point, COD4 wasn't *that* hard. But factor in NFITWR, and jesus christ, that game is damn near impossible. I mean, I did it, but the last 3 minutes (where the path forces you to go left or right, in the bit where shooting the pipes releases a jet of flame) took me something like 3 hours of retrying. I can still close my eyes and see a perfect run of it, I practised so much. First, you pull up your sights and kill the two running round the corner, then you run to the far wall and focus on the left wall. a guy comes out. shoot him. guy comes out right side. shoot him. run forward. aim over boxes, kill all guys. and THEN it gets tricky, when you have to pick a corridor and go down... eurgh.
And to have it all ruined right at the end when someone goes into that 'last stand' type mode and picks you ff from behind just makes me want to turn around and punch someone.
I don't mind it being easier then the other COD. From what I've hear the veteran in COD4 and WAW was only hard because of constant grenade spam, which sounds like no fun and the only reason I never tried those games on veteran. Taking it out for MW2 might of made it easier, but it also made it less frustrating and more fair.
I found it to be challenging enough, although much easier than CoD4. Maybe I'm just bad at the game or something, but all you people saying it's sooo easy, did you not die once? You make it sound like it's a breeze and like you can just walk through a storm of bullets. Not the case! Which makes me think that you're either lying to brag or you are superhuman players.
Maybe you're just superior to everyone else. I bow down to you in the hope that one day I will have your awesome skill so I can find myself a lovely woman.
I've yet to play the single player in MW2, but I found MW a little too hard, CoD2 was frustrating, but I made it through, MW was way harder, now obviously they need to give you a challenge, but I see myself as good gamer and I haven't gotten through MW yet, so I don't see it as a problem to make it easier.
Btw imo you're not a good gamer if you keep repeating a level over and over and over and over etc until you can dream every move and you get lucky and you get through it, I've went through plenty of parts that way, same with CoD2, but it didn't make me a better player, I just knew where they would be so that I could shoot them faster, that and a lot of luck.
I find the game to be pretty difficult on regular (simply because well... I guess I felt like I can run through all of the shit without getting killed) and pretty easy on Veteran compare to MW1. In one instance, that's a disappointment. But on the other, its nice because COD4 was hard due to mainly its nadefest.

" They removed the infinite spawning enemies in MW2 but COD 4 had them. "I'm 90% sure the top of the oil rig (with the smoke) has an infinite number of enemies until you push forward.

" @Rinkalicous said:Seriously? Because I camped in the corner for seemingly ages, and they just kept coming and coming and coming, and when i died and respawned and ran forward, there were relatively next to no enemies. Maybe they respawn, but not infinitely then. Best of both worlds I guess." @Afroman269 said:No at first I thought it was too but if you wait long enough the numbers eventually go down. Although, judging by the number of posts here, I was wrong.
I think veteran is the same for COD4 and MW2. After all, it is the same engine and I don't think they made considerable changes to the AI, that isn't scripted anyway...
